My children worked on the family farm and they don't think they were being mistreated..They all 3 grew up to know what work is and they are all highly paid professionals today because of their work ethic that they learned on the farm. Maybe if more children had chores to do instead of sitting in front of an x-box or the TV for hours at a time getting LAZY and FAT we wouldn't have the diabetes and obese problems that we do today..Most of these kids think that everything that they want should be handed to them--even when it's time for them to go out into the world as grown adults --they think the government should hand them a check..I think all children -if not handicapped in some way- should have everyday chores to do..

This is the great liberal dream as proclaimed by obammy. To regulate all of your live. Including interfering with a parent/child relationship. And liberals always say that obammy isn't increasing regulations. This is what the election is ALL about. Do you want a gov that is ever increasing in your life or do you want some freedom. Obammy stands for controlling you. Increasing the cost of everything you purchase. Eleminating jobs. Telling what to drive. What to eat. What to watch. What to do with your money. What you have to purchase. This is only the beginning of what obammy has planned for us. He wants to fundamentally transform this country from what we are and have always been. That is the change we can hope will never happen.

We figured we got paid every time food was put on our plate and clothes were put on our backs. It's not slave labor to contribute to the way your family made a living.

Don't mean to sound STUPID but every time a child eats, puts clothes on their bodies, shoes on their feet go to the doctor, dentist, eye doctor and etc, watch cable tv, take bath/showers with water, plays on a computer, talks on the telphone and uses heat when the weather is cold should help with the expenses for example helping their parents if they own a farm, same with raising a garden, if they eat food from the garden then they should help with the weeding and gathering of the vegetables, and if food is canned like green beans they should help with breaking up the beans and etc. Hell parents brought your asses into the world to be constructive adults learn to live on your own some day and if they never made you work, how the hell are you going to work at a public job someday? Parents should teach their children values, honesty, work ethics, discrimnation, right from wrong, that is their responsiblity. Now to the PAY part of your response, how the hell do you think electricity, water, food, heating, air conditioning, telephones, cell phones, computers, x box games all get paid for. These things just don't arrive without cost. Same way when a kid gets sick and needs a doctor, dentist or eye doctor do you think they are going to see them free, hell no, wake your sorry ass up and smell the coffe, roses, shit whatever, you are almost retarded, did you know that? You get paid hundreds of dollars each month dumb ass!!!!!!! Unless they lock your ass in the cellar or basement and do not feed, clothed, and take you to the MD or buy you any thing in life then maybe you are entitled to money but I don't believe that is the case.

They (the parents) are responsible for all that you do till you are 18 and maybe 22 if in college but after that you are on your own!
This should be plain as the nose on your face..........you are part of the family and you are helping out, just like weekly chores around the house!

REALLY, aren't U glad mom/dad taught U the value of a dollar, how to make a dollar, how to save a dollar all the while learning to be self sufficient, knowning how to take care of UR self in this world "NOT" waiting for someone else to come along and give U money for this, that, which way to turn, parents that don't teach their kids morals, values and work ethics need a good ass whippin their self! And if U buy something U have to pay for it, if you want cable tv U have to pay for the service, if U want a cell phone they don't come free, vehicles run on gasoline not water and gasoline cost money, UR food that U eat has to be paid for by someone and that's the problem right there they (kids today) think well yeah somebodys got to pay for these things but not me....poor little ole meeee just not able to do, this, that, can't work a job, punch a time clock, follow rules, go to work everyday, WAKE UP this is life!

Yes, i am glad. They did all those things, teaching me how to work and values and work ethic, I had chores around the house ever since i was big enough to do them. Yes i still live with them at 18, but i pay for my own food, clothes, gasoline, vehicle, entertainment, and cell phone. I started up my own bank account and built up my savings. Of course they taught me how to, but i've done it myself. I can work a job, i've had at least one since i was 15 on farms, camps, small jobs helping people out, and now i have to leave this computer i paid for to go to my job at Lee's Famous Recipe. So if you would like make another BS reply you can just meet me there.
