To vote drink and fight for our country - it all should be 18 years old across the board.
BTW - I am 44, not 20!

If you are old enough to fight for your country you should be old enough to enjoy a drink.

I really think the age thing is a red herring anyway. I say just abolish the age requirement altogether. For any product.

Yeah I'm gonna get negative comments about this (that's usually how it happens...) but uh, what can I say, I really think I'm right about this. And I'm willing to discuss it with anyone who wishes to.

Long-story-short, these are some of the reasons:

#1: Making something illegal doesn't stop it from happening.

#2: Parents and schools should be educating children and teens about stuff like this, instead of passing laws (this should've been #1 shouldn't it?) If educators can/will not educate they should be transferred to the Department Of Unemployment. If parents can't/don't, they should not be parents. Just say CPS!!!

#3: Regular customers should not have to be bothered showing ID, nor should store owners/personnel. Nor should anybody be refused because they don't have it, or have it on them. A drivers license is for driving!

#4: Ageism (I'll provide links about this if anyone asks)

#5: If a person under 21 (even under 18) is charged with a serious crime, they will be treated as a adult. Therefore they should be treated as one in the "good ways" also.

I dunno, those are just some I thought of right quick. If anyone has anymore, feel free too ad them.

Or if you disagree with some of mine, we can discuss them. I've been wrong before but I learn things from having discussions on the Internet.

And it looks like I'm gonna be back on Topix, atleast for a little while, most likely. So yes if anyone has any thoughts on any of my comments, please post them.
