They are going to drink at that age anyways. I think the idea of a 21 year old having a more maturity then 18 year old is all that relevant. If we are not going to trust them to be an adult then we might as well raise the age we consider adults to 21.

Denvers drinking age used to be 18 And at 18 you were allowed to drink 3.2 % BEER only... There used to be bars that only served 3.2 % alcohol in the 70s and early 80s. It was a great time. Several of them were live music bars . It was just a legal way to slowly introduce your kids to the gateway drug of alcohol. In Arizona the drinking age was 19 and they didnt have 3.2%.and you could by real booze at Circle Ks. Here in Colorado most people from out of town dont know the beer you buy in 7/11 stores and super markets isnt full strength alcohol..Its 3.2%..Lots of people move here and never buy real booze or beer because they by it at the super markets and not liquor stores. They think they dont get drunk because of the altitude but when they go to a bar they get zhit faced. How about just dont drink. 600 deaths this year from Drinking and driving. Why make the statistics for legal deaths legal at a younger age.

The idea of an adult not being able to make a decision to use alcohol is absurd. If 18 year olds are going to be treated as adults under the law otherwise, and even be given voting rights, this drinking restriction seems just ridiculous to me.

If you can die for your country, than you should be allowed to have a beer if you get home safe.

If you join the service to fight for our country then you can have all the beer you want at any age.If you allow 18 year olds to drink then it will just show everyone that Pot isnt the problem,,And Drinking is. Liquor store owners and Alcohol supporters dont want that.If you make it legal to drink at 18 then people will see just how many kids are already drinking. Then they wont be able to blame pot for being the gateway drug.

I agree if you are old enough to risk your life for your country you are old enough to drink
