The only real reason I feel like the legal age should stay 21 is that if they change it, every 18 19 and 20 year old who drinks anyway will rush to the bars and liquor stores that day and for a few weeks after. It'd be a month if not longer before things got somewhat back to normal. That first few weeks/months are really what I worry about.
and the same people would rush to the bars and liquor stores on their 21st birthday and for a few weeks after. And if they are drinking anyway then the only difference is they are actually going to the store and buying their own instead of having someone else buy it for them.

If you can put your life on the line for your country, vote, be able to adopt a child, and buy tobacco, then you should be able to buy/use alcohol

That's my point exactly me and I. If your not mature enough to drink alcohol, then how could you be mature enough to buy a gun or adopt a child. If they are willing to give sommeone a child or a gun then they should be able to drink a beer.

There are just as many grown asS adults well into their 30's and up that are just as immature if not more so than 18 year olds.

In Europe you can already drink when you're 16. It's not fair.

i live in a country where the legal age for alcohol i 18 although 'kids' can quite easily purchase alcohol from as young as 15. i have peronally seen the damage that alcohol does to the young, they are not mature enough to appreciate the harm it can do

You cam get alcohol under the age of 21 by just haveing someone older buy it for you. Either way, under age drinking will still be existant.

Everyone says if they can fight for our country they should be able to drink, i think they should raise enlistment to 21 an keep the drinking age the same. Kids at 18 are lost an wreckless, just trying to find where they belong after high school. They need a few more years to mature before making decisions like drinking an enlisting

I think they should legalize pot and solve both problems.
