Wow you couldn't be more of a stereotype of an ignorant fool if you tried. It's basic logic. Women don't bunk with men in the military because in the heterosexual world that can lead to unnecessary problems that could interfere with the smooth running of a military unit. Example, perceived harrassment, sexual misconduct, out and out rape.

You think these things would somehow magically not happen in the squad bay between heterosexual and openly homosexual?

It would be a nightmare.

Nonsense. Many militaries around the world, including Israel and our friends in NATO have allowed gays and lesbians to serve openly, without the problems you are predicting. If they can function well with gays openly serving why can't we? Your prediction is based on the faulty premise that gays are attracted to every person of the same sex they see. Are you attracted to every person of the opposite sex that you see or interact with?

And your premise is based on the fact that everyone accepts the homosexual lifestyle without an issue. DADT was instituted to PROTECT the homosexual who chose to serve! Good grief, you libs are really looking out for the little guy aren't you??? DADT has functioned extremely well with the violence against homosexuals in the military all but gone and now you want to go and screw with that too??????

Great! Then you also think it's dumb when I say that is about the only good thing Clinton did. It allowed the Gays to serve in the military without worrying about being attacked for their lifestyle. I thought that was what the left was all about???? No???? Then, please tell me what you THINK the purpose of DADT was???? You and the rest of the left want nothing more in this country than to divide people by color, lifestyle, rich and poor. You all should really attempt to let people be people instead of pigeon holing everyone. Thanks for the giggles, though.

Homosexual lifestyles and behaviors are detrimental to the good order and discipline required of a military organization. THAR was DoD policy until all the thrice-be-damned social engineers and gay/lesbian activists forced the change.

Never should've happened--just like combat arms MOSs NEVER should've been opened to women.

Yet another fine example of the gay/lesbian agenda and lifestyle being force-fed to a society that wants NOTHING to do with it! I don't give a damn how OTHER military forces around the world deal with the queers in their midst. It doesn't mean we should follow their example. Until the goddamned social engineers and activists forced DoD to change, their official policy was that "homosexual lifestyles and behaviors are detrimental to the good order and discipline required of a military organization." That ploicy was right on the mark then--and it's still right on the mark now.

Of course, those other militaries are never going to let THEIR dirty laundery be aired about about how their own pinky-wavers are treated when the PC Police have their backs turned ...

Yadda, yadda, yadda.... And Blacks were thought to be too timid to be in combat units at one time as well.

It must be really hard for some of you to see the last pillars of your temple fall one after another. I guess finding out that you aren't special must come as a real shock.

It will shock me how??? That the law was that gays could not openly serve in the military??? I already knew that....I also know that there is a thought process about eliminating the gays and it is extremely violent. There is NO constitutional right to serve in the military for gays or anyone else. Guess you and the rest of the people who think this "law" is a good one don't give two hoots and a holler about the safety of people, because saying "You have to accept them" is so much more important. Whatever.

Mark, did you strain a muscle jumping to that conclusion?

There are many men and women of both sexual orientations who could bunk together and not be attracted or "lustful" toward someone, however, we all know that there will also be those who are going to make life hell for those around them because they didn't get hugged enough when they were children and can't play well with others.

Those people make separate living quarters a better option.

That's right, dickhead. When you can't come up with a reasoned, logical response, just play that f---ing race card like the liberal-oppressive playbook teaches you to do. I mean, if you call someone a bigot or a racist, it just stands to reason they'll back down and let you cocksuckers have your way. Right?

WRONG!!!!!

I'm not afraid of the likes of you. I've done my time in the military, and I KNOW that frontline combat is no place for a woman (why don't you ask Spec4 Melissa Rathbun-Neely and Major Rhonda Cornum and Pvt. Jessica Lynch if being captured by the Iraqis and then being RAPED as POWs was worth it. And they weren't even frontline troops--they were in the wrong place at the wrong time and fell into eney hands as a result!) I also know that certain units during Desert Storm were forced to stand down because they had too high a proportion of female troops and--due to things like a large percentage of them ending up PREGNANT by the male troops in the unit--could NOT execute their assiggned mission.

And as far as black soldiers go ... Ever hear of the Tuskegee airmen (aka the 332nd Fighter Group, US 15th Air Force) of World War II? Well I HAVE! And MY respect and admiration for those fine black American fighter pilots knows no bounds. They had to overcome the rasicm that was was so prevalent as to be intolerably casual and perform their assigned task of escorting American heavy bombers over Germany flawlessly on a consisntant basis just to be considered something approaching adequate. And they were beyond just ADEQUATE. NOT ONE SINGLE B17 OR B24 ESCORTED BY THE TUSKEGEE AIRMEN TO TARGETS OVER AXIS TERRITORY WAS EVER LOST DUE TO ENEMY INTERCEPTORS (that's German Messerschmitt Bf109s and Focke-Wulf FW190 fighters for unititated dickheads like you, Bobby!). And what did they get for their trouble? Coming home to bases in the Deep South to find GERMAN POWs allowed to sit and drink in bars and resaurants in town while under guard on work detais that they--as black American military officers--were refused service in by the good ole boys in JUST BECAUSE THEY WERE BLACK. So don't even TRY to play the race card or homophobe card or ANY OTHER F---ING CARD WITH ME. I am too proud an AMERICAN to suffer fools like you--and I WILL NOT DO SO!

you're a mean-spirited chippie, aren't you(see above)? i knew "a homo" or two back in the sixties. one died from blood poisoning after he stepped in a pungie stick hole; the other had his head taken off by a north vietnamese grenade. i respected their service and mourned their deaths. i'm sure you would as well. now, where does that leave all that hate and vitriol that seems to be consuming you?
