If taxes need to be raised, rais taxes on everyone, to include the 45 percent who pay no net taxes. Decrease subsidies to the so-called "poor." Raise the contribution to the federal government across the board.

The problem is, whatever tax system that is adopted gets turned into an incomprehensible mess. The same people writing a tax code for sales tax are the same people that turned our current tax system into the unintelligible mess it is, and they will do the same with any new system adopted.
If they can't fix what we have, they won't be able to manage any other system.
Fix the one we have.
And, if my taxes are going to go up, I shouldn't be the only one paying for the insanity we have in Washington. Everyone should have to pay.

Defund Congress and we could eleminate the Debt. Those crooks have been stealing and spending our money like Al Capones boys. It is time for it to stop. We have organized criminals running our country. We have started in Texas, now the rest of you need to start.
