Most gays are bitter and spiteful people. Why would anyone support special privileges for them when they engage in this nonsense, trashing their opponents and attacking religious people?

So...you know most gay people? That's amazing, how do you keep track of them all? Do you have them all listed in a search engine you created especially for LGBT's? And you've had meaningful conversations with them all, to be able to tell they're all bitter and spiteful?! Simply amazing.
But Lord knows you could never admit that maybe the reason this group of people resent your religion is because you treat them like plagued, disgusting, gutter-trash who have no right to be alive. Not at all. Nope. Because even though God tells you to love your neighbors, you deem it necessary to judge harshly and critically of all others who don't live their lives exactly as YOU think they ought to. You hide behind God, you use any excuse to bash on someone else for the way they choose to live, because you don't want to admit to yourself that YOU are the disgusting one.
And NO, not all[or even most] gay people are bitter and spiteful. You choose to see it that way, because it's how you are, and you have to project that onto somebody else, lest YOU be judged for your actions.

I agree with Jan. I see them on TV all the time, attacking religious people. They harshly criticize and judge religious people. They make hateful comments about practicing Christians, and then make vile comments about people who disagree with them. They demand all kinds of special rights and privileges, like forcing schools to teach their behavior to children. No thank you.

Oh, you mean the way religious leaders harshly judge and criticize anyone who doesn't belong to their particular religion? But then, I shouldn't judge an entire group of people based on a few nutjobs who decide to go on national television...right? I have never heard of any LGBT person trying to force their behavior into a school. Example, please?
I'm not saying that you can't believe whatever you want to believe. I'm saying that judging others by their behaviors and beliefs is the opposite of what Christianity and most other religions tell us.
If you don't personally agree, that's fine. That's your opinion. Nobody's asking you to be personally involved in a gay relationship.
The moment you start judging a group of people based on a few people who are that way and make a bad example, then you are just as bad.
Love between two consenting adults is their own business. If your idea of love is different, fine. You have no right to tell somebody ELSE that they're wrong for feeling the way they do, though. You don't want anybody telling you you're wrong, now do you?

If "love between two consenting adults is their own business," then why the need to shove it in everyone's face? I'm not interested in hearing about it or seeing it in my children's school. Keep it behind closed doors like everyone else, and don't force me to endorse it.

The state of California is now requiring all schools to teach children "gay history" in the public schools. Why should I be forced to explain all that to my children, when I find it objectionable, not to mention absurd and irrelevant?

Yeah, I'm sure your child is going to grow up to be a gay murdering rapist because they had to hear about the good contributions the LGBT community has made to society. Better lock your kid up now! Before the gays get to them!

I guarantee that not one of those 'gay history' lessons is going to feature a section on 'Why you should be gay: It'll make everybody hate you and make fun of you, you'll have suicidal thoughts, you'll have a much harder chance at finding love, you'll never be considered truly married, if you want to adopt your process will be much longer and more in-depth than straight couples and even then there's a chance no one will let you because of your sexual orientation, and on top of all of that, you'll never be accepted by a society full of bigoted, ignorant morons'.

People DON'T keep it behind closed doors. Did you get married? Were all your friends and family there? Then please tell me how that's hiding it 'behind closed doors like everybody else'. Straight people walk around all the time holding hands, kissing, cuddling...but gay people get terrible slurs and things thrown at them for wanting to express their love like a straight couple. Nobody is asking you to endorse it. Only to see that these are people just like you, who just happen to love of the same sex instead of the opposite.

Gay people aren't trying to 'infect' society, or schools. Why should you be forced to explain the nazi regime to your children? Oh right...they were straight, and they murdered gay people. So that one's ok. Why should you be forced to explain why President Clinton got a blowie in the oval office? Oh right, because Monica Lewinski was female, so it's cool. You need to open up your mind and realize that it's not about gay being pushed all up in everyone's faces. It's about your sons, daughters, nieces, nephews, grandchildren, brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, friends, grandparents, parents being accepted as NOTHING LESS than a human being with all the same rights as everyone else. Nobody's asking for special treatment, only equality in rights and privileges. If you choose to treat anybody who doesn't see eye-to-eye with you like scum, then you yourself are scum.

Just more proof that so many gays are vicious, hateful, bigoted and bitter people who attack anyone who disagrees with their lifestyle. Gays have a double standard - they want everyone to treat them with respect, and then they call everyone else names and spew all kinds of vile attacks at them.

All Christians or just the ones who want to see them denied equal rights, thrown in jail, or killed? I think you know the answer.

Obviously you're not from around here. No one who professes to be a real Christian would ever attack a gay person. But you are the real bigot, because you smear anyone who disagrees with gay marriage. Gay marriage has nothing to do with equal rights. It's endorsing a lifestyle that is not the same thing as marriage. The real bigots are the gay marriage supporters.

There are Christian groups in America that supported Uganda's anti-gay law which proposed killing and imprisoning gays.

Rick Perry and Rick Santorum, significant Republican candidates for President, both support laws which would imprison gays.

I haven't smeared anyone.

Gay marriage is absolutely about equal rights. Marriage is a legal contract by which 2 people make a commitment to one another. Barring same-sex couples from making this contract is discrimination.

Gay is gay. It's not marriage. Just say no to gay marriage. Heterosexual marriage has a 50% divorce rate. Gay marriage has a 99% divorce rate. Gays aren't interested in marriage, they just want to wreck it.

Animals, bugs and even pond-scum is smart enough not to try to build a life around queer-dom. Wise up.
