Civil Union? Pretty word for a shack job. Gay Marriage? Oxymoron for a non-existent event that serves no purpose or function in society. Why does this foolish topic come up over and over? To wear you down to the point you don't care and some more immorality can slip into society with little or no resistance. Who defines as family? God defines what a family is. One man - one woman - and their children and their children's children ....

Why the obsession with people in love with same gender? Another way a hate mindset is fed. What's ironic; it seems to only bother the 1/3 professing to have christian ethics. I urge you 33% to rethink the why of your general hostility towards humanity. Coming to terms with that will free you to adopt more positive concepts that will create a happier outlook about all of life.

The Alliance Defense Fund (ADF) recently released results from a poll suggesting that a majority of Americans believe in traditional marriage. The poll found 62 percent of Americans believe that “marriage should be defined only as a union between one man and one woman.”

That is more than 1/3 and those that claim to be Christian and support it demonstrates the "TRUTH IS NOT IN THEM"....

The fact remains marriage was a gift from God for the purpose of creating a family and not for the same sex. You talk about love, but you don't understand what love is. There are men who I love and would step in front of a bullet for, but I would not have sex with any of them.

What you call love is little more than perverse lust...

Why don't you save the judging for the good Lord? You, just as I do not know who will make it through the gates of Heaven. Personally, my family consist of me(man), my wife(woman) and 3 kids. We worship God, read His Word, and believe Him to be Jesus Christ of Nazareth who loves ALL people, regardless. We will ALL be judged for our sins one day, while our sins may be different, one is no worse than the other with the exception of blasphemy. Get your own house in order before declaring a right to judge others. God hates the sin, not the sinner.......people need prayed for, not condemned.

They should be prayed for, but the Bible clearly teaches who will not get through those gates and who will end up in the lake of fire and a homosexual is one that will be resigned to Hell without question if they do not repent and turn from their ways. The Bible also clearly states if someone in the church is sexually immoral (which includes homosexuality and those that like to cheat and have extra martial affairs along with other perverse lifestyles) we are to first approach them, make them aware of their sin, ask them to repent, and if they refuse and continue to rebuke them and turn them out of the church.

Make no mistake, there is little leeway here, if any, in the law of God. For one who says they go to church you sure don't know your Bible.

How is it that you see a homosexual individual is absolutely destined to hell "without question"? You seem to be very closed minded if you think that for some reason homosexuality is a choice, because who, in their right mind, would choose to be a homosexual if they knew of the lifetime of ridicule and pain that the choice would have on them? How also would "turning them out of the church" help solve anything? God teaches forgiveness and you obviously care nothing about this. I find it hard to believe that homosexuality is a worse sin than lying, stealing, drugs, etc. If you are willing to throw everyone out of a church for sinning (instead of doing the slightest thing whatsoever to help the individual) then your own judgement before God would be what I was worried about if I were you.

It's a choice ... it has always been a choice and not some genetic malfunction. Attempting to hide behind the BS question of WHY WOULD SOMEONE CHOOSE does not excuse the fact it is choice. People make bad choices each day and your logic would apply to each negative aspect of society; such as - who would choose to be a drug addict or who would choose to be a pedophile - as these are all choices as well and not genetic birth defects of the brain.

We are not animals and we choose who we have sex with. We choose what course we take in life. If you have to have a reason for making these bad choices it called simply LUST AND OUR DESIRES...

It is clear these all acts are a result of our OWN DESIRES after giving into to temptation.

As far as how I know homosexuals will end up in Hell it is made quite clear throughout the Bible:

Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God. And such were some of you. But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God.(1 Corinthians 6:9–11)

Even the Lord said something very similar:“But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone”(Revelation 21:8).

I think the message of God is quite clear. He will allow you do as you wish, but you will face the punishment for it.

I never once said homosexuality was a worse sin than theft, drug abuse, drunkenness, or a host of other sins, as they too will share in the lake of fire as clearly shown in the Bible. This topic is in regards to homosexuality and only this aspect was isolated for the purpose of staying on topic.

At NO POINT DID I SAY THROW EVERYONE OUT OF THE CHURCH FOR SINNING... but I did state the scriptures teach us to rebuke and shun those who constantly have sexual or immoral sins and will not repent.

You are so quick to read into what is not posted and diverge from it quickly - Your post is the same kind of post pro-gay groups routinely cut and paste as a seminar talking point in order to side-track the topic and muddle the information line.

SO WHY HAS THE LIE ABOUT BEING BORN "GAY" BEEN PROMOTED SO MUCH? BECAUSE IT EXCUSES THE PERSON WHO CHOOSES TO LIVE THIS LIFE-STYLE FROM GUILT AND PSYCHOLOGICALLY FREES THEM FROM A LIFE-STYLE THEY MAY KNOW IS CONTRARY TO GOD AND NATURE:

So where is the bestiality gene for those who have sex with animals or the pedophilia gene for the child molester. If homosexuality is triggered by a gene then other sexual abnormalities (or if you want to be politically correct, "life-style choices", must also be triggered by a gene which makes them want to have sex in certain manner. Dose the rapist have a gene that compels them to seek sex by force? Or how about the thief?

If behavior is determined by nothing more than genes then everything we do is a result of some random wiring pattern based upon the DNA of our physical makeup and we can not help ourselves.

Pro-gay groups and supporters will attempt to scoff and imply all these and many other things I just mentioned are not the same thing as their choice is based upon "LOVE" whereas the other things are not.

REALLY? The child molester sees nothing wrong with his LOVE of children and believes what two consenting persons do in private is their business....UHHhhhhh...right.. .

In the end all of these things are all about CHOICE based upon our own desires and none of them have anything to do with genes.

Every couple of months this topic or one similar is put out on Topix with slanted "UN-scientific" poll flooded by pro-gay groups in an effort to promote their agenda and to wear down resistance to a life-style that serves no function in nature or society just so they pretend their choices are just as good or valid as other choices.

God is not fooled by this trolly and he is not going to overlook it. There is a lot of sin attempted to be excused in our contemporary world and most of it is an affront to God that will have very harsh results.

Homosexuality decays the family and decays society. To openly embrace it always leads to social and eventual decay of the society. Once the family is gone - society soon follows.

I think you're full of chit! I know a young guy that's been gay since birth. He's never had a girlfriend and the thought of being with a woman disgust him. He is now thirty years old. We do when he was two or three he was gay. He wantees no part of boy toys he wanted baby dolls and Barbies. No matter how hard his father tried he couldn't change him!

Apparently you live in a hole and don't get out much. Nobody wants to be gay why on earth would you incompetent people think that? Do you think they enjoy being made fun of? Do you think they enjoy that? NO!! He was raised by both parents his dad is a very manly man. From a Berry young age their son didn't want to play with boy toys he hated trucks, basketball, football wanted nothing to do with it. Its called exceptance!! If you tell it long enough people starts believing it. Noone was born that way, God says its an abomination for men to lay with their same kind. Can't remember noone ever mentioning it in high school and if they had back then they would got the crap beat out of them. You had more strict parents and teachers back then.
