i agree! i just don't believe she should get the death penalty. i think she should have to look at 4 walls the rest of her life for 70+ years without the possibility of parole. i don't for one minute believe she has mental problems. she was trying to get rid of an "inconvenience" in her life. i think she is a spoiled rotten b**ch! but that is only my opinion.

She is guilty in MHO! Probably after the argument with her parents she left with Caylee and had no babysitter while she wanted to party. She chloroformed the child taped her mouth so she could not scream or cry and left her in the trunk of her car, only to find her dead when she returned. The heat in Florida would have suffocated the child very quickly, even at night.

She deserves to get Life without possibility of parole. She should never be allowed on day of freedom again.

Here Roo goes again. Free the criminals. Kill the children.

All's fair in the life of a pedo-murderer.

Kindred spirits.

IOW, No. So you desire to convict a woman of a crime on nonexistent evidence merely to satisfy your own weak emotions.

As you misrepresent my views, as you have here, you are certainly unfit to serve on a jury.

Show me the evidence! All you've responded with here are your own fragile emotions. What a weak and sad excuse for a man you are.

Have you heard of conviction by circumstantial evidence?

OK, who's "Grisom"?

Yeah, I heard about it. I think it's improper to convict for a major crime on that alone.

I testified once against a short eyes who was on trial for indecency with a child, his stepdaughter, then age 12. Our evidence was primarily my and the child's and the detective's and the maternal grandmother's credibility. I was on the stand for three days. He got 10 years probation, the same he would've got if he'd have pleaded guilty. His defense attorney just browbeat us to show the defendant's mother she was getting a good show for her money. That's the system, but evidence like we had then ("He said/She said") is insufficient for a major crime like murder or treason.

Show trials almost always end up in acquittals or reversals on appeals because all they are is the acting out of ambitious assistant DAs.

BTW, the ADA who was in that trial with me is now a district court judge and a very good one.

Thank you for the reference. I read a couple of articles about it. Sounds like he was convicted but no bodies were ever found.

I don't believe that's ever right. Without a body, there's no proof of a murder. They could have moved to Tadjikistan for all we know.

Interestingly the prosecutor was former kansas AG Paul Morrison who resigned in a sex scandal. Just goes to show Democratic trial lawyers are better performers than Republican ones.

No big surprise here. The government case was entirely based on the "trial by media" that the Mom was a bad person so therefore she did it. That they failed to fool a jury is no surprise. That some of the emotionalistic whiners at topix bough the prosecution's stretch of logic is no surprise either.

"Instead, she was convicted of four counts of lying to investigators looking into the June 2008 disappearance of her daughter Caylee.

Her body was found in the woods six months later and a medical examiner was never able to determine how she died.

Anthony will be sentenced by the judge on Thursday and could receive up to a year in jail for each lying count."

This is what's known as a "Democratic" win.

Congratulations, Roovert, another person got away with murder.

Be sure to mention that in your next sermon.

The state failed to prove their case. Convictions require "clear and convincing evidence". They didn't have any. Another show trial lost because of an overambitious prosecutor.

I watched the trial from beginning to end. She is guilty.
Prosecutors convinced me, not the media. Jose Baez and his
wild fabrications did not convince me of her innocence.
With him as her defense lawyer, it's a wonder she got off
a murder charge scot free. Her play acting at sorrow made
the jury feel sorry for her. No justice for Caylee in this
lifetime. Sadly.
