As of this moment on Friday evening, I'll be blaming the Republicans. The Democrats can't possibly be convinced to vote their ridiculous plan. The Republican plan only continues the uncertainty of our financial stability and requires still more endless debate on reducing the debt in a couple months. Congress should be working on next year's budget at this time; and not still squabbling over raising the debt ceiling.

Correction to above post: ...The Democrats can't possibly be convinced to vote [for the Republican's] ridiculous plan...

It seem like everytime the Republicans do not have a majority in either house, they cause gridlock and then try to blame the Democrats. It disappoints me that the Democates are not a party united with a backbone. All they seem to do is capitulate and negotiate with nothing getting accomplished.
Next question please

"Tax and spend"... that's certainly an original remark! Are you permitted to post your opinion without first consulting with Rush Limbaugh? Most of us know that you Republicans have difficulty in thinking for themselves.

...and if Democrats are really known for "tax and spend;" well, let's be honest, the George Bush Republicans were known for "spend and spend!" It's largely due to the previous administration that we're dealing with this mess in the Obama administration.

You know that the Republican mind programers always make sure their members know the talking points.

It has proven a very effective stragegy. The Democrats certainly can't overcome it. Is it possible to hate something yet it admire it at the same time?

Hmm, I'll ask my therapist.

Well you would have to blame the republicans, but this question doesn't leave room to say that the debt ceiling shouldn't be raised. The government needs to fix its spending problems. End of story.

They are only concerned with elections, not actually doing anything.

Yes, but the republicans are refusing to allow all the extra BS they are trying to put into it. So I guess the republicans can be blamed, but only if people agree that Obama is trying to pull one over on the American people AGAIN! The Republicans want a clean bill and want agreements made to cut needless spending in DC. Obama doesn't want that.

Wouldn't needless spending include the federal financial assistance provided to build the Oak Hill Police Dept's new building? Through the Federal Dept of Transportation,$200,000 was contributed. Don't you think the total funding should have come from local sources even if it took bake sales to come up with the money? I do!

Your spelling and grammar is atrocious. The state of West Virginia should have a law that people like you should have to pay back the tax payer's money that was wasted in attempt to educate you. Did you make any effort at all to compose a readable post?

No, we need a really big war. Some war of the magnitude of WWII. America always swings into motion and begins to get back on track after a huge war that we win. These painful police actions are what drag us down.
