If the Bush tax cuts on just those making over $250,000 had been ended, the deficit could have been resolved. Should cuts take place? Of course, and most of them to the military before anything else. The Military is sucking this country dry. The Tea Party are fanatics.

Well, one article on the MSN Money Page says about $70 billion a year for the next decade. If the porposed cuts in subsidies and closing of tax loopholes is also passed, that would add another $30 billion a year. Now, end just one stupid war, take your pick, but I'd vote for Iraq, add another billion a day, for another $365 billion a year. And, once we see the light and leave Afghanistan, add another billion a day. Problem solved. But your question was the Bush tax cuts, and the answer was $70 billion a year.

currently the country is spending at the rate of 4.6 billion per DAY! do the math on that and then look again at the balance sheet!

The political party system is is a paradigm of illusion. The real power brokers are behind the scenes. The international banks and international corporations are at the helm. Why do you think we are in these nonsensical wars that have nothing to to with the sovereignty of the United States. As far as the the politicians that are pretending to run our foreign occupied government, they are nothing but sock puppets, Obama being the imperial sock puppet. Putting a Republican in office will not make a difference. Sorry Joe White and Ins Rep, Bush is Obama and Obama is Bush.

I assumed any6 figures proposed wouldn't suit you Joe, as long as it impacted negatively on your world view of all things Republican. How dumb are you, that $70 billion a year in extra income won't help? You're too stupid to ever discuss politics, economics or military issues intelligently, as that requires an open mind. And Bill has it right, all our current "leaders", regardless of party, are a joke, and are essentially the same, money and power grubbing scum who kiss the feet of those with the money. It works because of partisan idiots like Joe White.

on the contrary sir,do the math and stop with the partisian idiots stuff. i really do not care who is in power, just do the math and then tell me where i am wrong!i can discuss anything you wish but the personal attack crap does not hold water. do you have an answer to my question or will you continue to go off on tangents?

So, in your math $70 biilion a year off the debt won't help? Assuming we have other income (we do) then that $70 billion would be in ADDITION to that other income, and if you can't see how that would help, I don't know what else to say. I repeat, you're a partisan idiot and have no intention on listening to anything that would throw a bad light on Bush policies. It was George Bush who oversaw the collapse of the worlds greatest economy by starting 2 wars and lowering taxes at the same time. Obama is only guilty of being too incompetent to fix it.

of course anything off the debt will help for goodness sakes but the budget deficit is the problem,it just keeps adding to the debt! do you understand the difference? you keep calling me an idiot but as of yet i have not called you anything. if you don't have anything better than calling me what you have, please don't respond!
