"Boy, these conservatives are really something, aren't they? They're all in favor of the unborn. They will do anything for the unborn. But once you're born, you're on your own. Pro-life conservatives are obsessed with the fetus from conception to nine months. After that, they don't want to know about you. They don't want to hear from you. No nothing. No neonatal care, no day care, no head start, no school lunch, no food stamps, no welfare, no nothing. If you're preborn, you're fine; if you're preschool, you're fucked."

Go collect your welfare check so you can buy lottery tickets and beer. Then, use your food stamps purchased on the backs of the working class, who barely get by themselves. Or you could just a get a job.....No that would go completely against the socialist libertarian agenda.

Typical conservative mindset. You believe that anyone who is not a conservative is supporting the socialist agenda. I am actually against most aspects of socialism.

The director of a local pro-life women's shelter recently spoke at my church and made this point: if people put anywhere near the resources into helping young and single mothers that they did into fighting abortion, abortions wouldn't happen. She especially cited the highly organized and vehement response to Johnson City's new Planned Parenthood branch as an example.

So Carlin had a very good point from a pro-life point of view: if you want to stop abortions, stop persecuting women who make sexual mistakes and start helping them care for their babies. It doesn't require government intervention, but it DOES require the community's help.

I have an 8 month old boy anxious and I cannot imagine how anyone thinks abortion is ok. It's murder. That unborn child is still a human being with a soul. They didn't choose to be here. If the mother would keep their legs closed they wouldn't have to find a way to "get rid of the baby" and for the women who get pregnant from rape...give the innocent little baby up for adoption to a family who would love to have a child. The child is not at fault. Why punish them?
Check this out and tell me unborn babies aren't people...

People should not judge people who chose to have an abortion. Its not your body or soul. If we start controlling peoples decisions then what else will you what to control when you dont agree with the out come of there decision. Abused teens, rape victims ,incest victims should not be forced to have a unwanted child . Pregnancy should be a happy time but its not for those who never chose to be pregnant and are being emotionally and physically raped by society to feel its there fault and told they should have a unwanted child. Its not your body or soul. Dont judge till you have been in this situation yourself or spoke to 12 yr old incest victim . Not everything is a gift of goodness

Rape and incest account for less than 1% of all abortions. It is almost a non-factor. The fact is, abortion is used as a form of birth control. Even sadder, if you can't afford condoms or contraceptives, you can get them at the health department for free. No sense in murdering an innocent child due to laziness or immaturity.

... Its still not your BODY or soul . Birth control or not that decision is that one persons at that time. No one should be forced . I especially wouldnt want someone who couldnt remember to put a condom on in charge of a childs future nor would I want these loose woman who sleep around in charge of any childs life. Its like this abortion is a decision that can only be made by that person at that time weighing out the issues they have. And 1% is a number that counts to me and anybody whos worked with these types of victims.

If this child had been aborted, then she would have never had the chance to say these beautiful words.
Jesus Christ The Messiah
‎"Daddy, I think I have Jesus in my heart!" My daughter was only 5 years old when she said those words one night. I had just tucked her into bed and was almost out of her room, when I was stopped in my tracks as she said those words to me. Only moments earlier, my first three attempts to leave her room were interrupted just the same. At first, she stopped me to tell me that she loved me. Of course, that made me smile. She stopped me the second time, just to tell me that she loves her "WHOLE family." I smiled even more, as I praised her for expressing her love. Yet, it didn't stop there. She made sure to stop me again, as she rolled on her back with her eyes gleaming toward the ceiling. She said, "Daddy, I love everyone ... EVERYONE in the WHOLE world." I'm telling you, I just stood there at that point in awe. I sensed there would be more, but I wasn't sure what to expect. She then rolled over and looked at me with a sparkle in her eye. She had an expression of wonder on her face, as if she had just discovered gold and was determined to tell me about it. I was so proud when those words came out of her mouth ... "I mean, Daddy, I think I have Jesus in my heart!" Years later, as I look back at how she has grown, I come to believe more and more that something indeed very special happend that night. A seed seemed to open and take root, and there was no turning back. All that I had done up to that point in her life was in the spirit of what Jesus said in Matthew 18:10-11 (NIRV)... "See that you don't look down on one of these little ones. Here is what I tell you. Their angels in Heaven can go at any time to see my Father who is in heaven." Something about these verses tells me that God wants us to consider that children have special importance to Him. Jesus also said in Matthew 18:4 (NIRV)... "Anyone who becomes as free of pride as this child is the most important in the kingdom of Heaven." Folks, it says "free of pride." A child starts out in a condition that God wants for any grown man or woman, because without pride He can get through to us. Jesus said in verse 3 ... "What I'm about to tell you is true. You need to change and become like little children." Perhaps if you struggle when you pray, consider what Jesus said. Perhaps that ONE thing standing between you and God is "pride." Be careful not to dismiss what I am saying. "Pride" is a beast that can hide itself within the darkest regions of your heart. However, it cannot hide from the light of a humble torch. If you ignite that torch, the beast will flee, and it will no longer be able to devour the right words that God wants to hear ... "Oh, Lord, I believe in you. I love you. I will be your child from this point forward, and I will obey and serve you."

It's not YOUR body that you're aborting either. It's a separate human life that just happens to be growing inside of you. This isn't a tumor or malignant growth. It's a human life. I agree with not wanting someone who can't remember a condom to be raising a child. However, there are thousands of couples who desperately want and are perfectly capable of raising that same child, who can't have children of their own.

As for the 1%. I still believe that even those babies deserve to go to a family that will love them. However, even if we outlawed all abortion EXCEPT for rape and incest, that alone would save millions of lives.

Yes ! It is your body. No matter how you all put it or what biblical verse you put with it. Its the decision of the person who is pregnant. No victim should be forced to have there body morphed for your personal belief. However there are thousands of unwanted kids in foster care at this time with no chance of adoption because people just want the blue eyed blonde hair perfect lil babies. There thousands of childern with disabilties that our goverment is taking care of. I dont see people flocking to the adoption center for the drug addicted ,HIV, mentally challenged babies. People will chose to have abortions either in a alley or pay for some chop doctor to perform a shady procedure. At least people are safe and the childern pregnant are safe from any other shady dealings. I will however agree that abortion should not be used has a form of birthcontrol and Im firmly against late term abortions. In the end its a personal choice. Im so glad I live in a nation to were Woman have the right to say what is or isnt allowed to happen with there bodies.
