Lets not get in the way of a Woman's right.
But just for you bible thumpers out ther:
"Judge not, and you will not be judged; condemn not, and you will not be condemned; forgive, and you will be forgiven" - Luke 6:37
Go to your church and think a little harder about the life you're living, and leave the judging and condemning to your almighty. Until your god rains locusts or kills everyone's first born, keep abortions safe and legal.
Only a moron thinks only "bible thumpers" don't think we should be murdering innocent babies!!It's rediculous when people that don't care what's in the Bible, try to quote it.have you ever heard of the word "context" ??? look it up...

Oh for the....

Women, please, make up your mind before you even get pregnant. Ask yourself if you want to have a baby right now, then be a fucking adult and use prevention, buy a test and get the abortion as early as possible!

After the first heart beat (I certainly do not support trans-vaginal scans btw)... I cannot say the fetus is a person and be accepted by everyone, but the longer you wait, the closer that fetus is to being a viable baby aware of the world around it.

Show some form of responsibility and act in a timely manner. Don't be cavalier about it and wait until the third trimester.

Partly. Making them so available opens up the possibility of abuse of the pill. Overdose late to prevent the birth. I do agree the pills should be widely available for women through a doctor or hospital, but abuse can still happen and we must accept personal choices and just hold ourselves to a higher standard.
I also agree it is a commitment when one becomes pregnant. We aren't cats in heat and can make choices, but we also need to live with those choices. Mothers who become so because they decided to push responsibility aside for moral reasons contribute to the current wealth of American children without parents. It is a strain on the system and is unfair to everyone.

You seem to be a bit confused with the difference between the MAP and the RU486. The MAP is only a large dose of birth control pill that millions take each day. The MAP prevents conception and will not terminate a pregnancy in progress so there is little chance of "abuse".

I'm not a doctor. I only assumed what is true with other drugs, such as alcohol, cocain or other chemicals, held true for MAP. Too much can cause a fetus to become still born or cause a miscarriage. I can be wrong.

It is simply murder. Life begins at conception. People need to have more self control. People must also take responsibility for their own actions. If you create a life it is a long term commitment to raise the child.
finally a rational voice on this blog. I couldn't agree with you more. The whole arguement about the point in time that a baby becomes a baby, is pure rationalization. And only the heartless and conscienceless can rationalize the killing of the most vulnerable among us-UNBORN CHILDREN. take care

Rationalization? Are you one of those who believe that a woman is pregnant at the moment of sex or do you go along with medical science that conception takes from 12 to 72 hours. Until there is conception there is no "Unborn children" you speak of.

Put down that pen, you might make a convincing argument.
Your opponent literally is rejecting rational thought, unclear on the concept of rationalization and its relationship to rational thought. You cannot piss up that rope.

If the state is allowed to kill people that are alive, they should give the allowance for people to rid things that are not technically alive.

so who says it takes "12 to 72 hours"?answer- some guy with a PHD by his name, period.I, unlike you, am not a kool-aid drinking robot who believes something just because a guy with a PHD says so.sheeple like you want to blindly accept it because it APPEARS to validate your bigotted opinion.Have you ever been a free thinker?ever think outside the box?grow up and open your eyes. if you don't think some guys with PHD's politicize data, you're a fool.

How about, if a woman is knocked up by a guy, she has the choice to have that guy fixed?
