Dixon, Cunningham struggle at Indy qualifying
Scott Dixon yesterday qualified on the fifth row as the 15th fastest driver with a four-lap average of 223.684mph, and he was joined today by Wade Cunningham, who claimed one of the last nine remaining spots in the field of 33.
After qualifications, IndyCar announced it had fined 11 teams $15,000 each for not complying with Rules 1.1.1.3, 8.2.3.3, and 14.12.2 during pre-qualifying technical inspection for Indianapolis 500 Time Trials.
Franchitti, Ganassi have tough day at Indy
