New line-up, same targets for Toyota Racing

Toyota Racing returns after a three-month break to defend the lead of both World Championships in the Six Hours of Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas this weekend. The FIA World Endurance Championship season resumes for the fourth of eight races this year, following the traditional summer gap after the Le Mans 24 Hours.

Phillies stop Pirates' win streak at four with 4-3 victory

PHILADELPHIA The Pirates' quest to string together a five-game win streak did not materialize at Citizens Bank Park tonight. The club returned from deficit twice but lost, 4-3, to the Philadelphia Phillies, loosening their grip on the second wild-card spot.

Conway Not To Compete In Formula E Championship

Mike Conway and Dragon Racing have today announced that Conway will not be driving for them in the 2014/15 FIA Formula E Championship. IndyCar Longbeach and Toronto race winner Conway was due to participate in the first three races of the all-electric championship but unfortunately, his commitment to Toyota Motorsport and their sports car programme means he will no longer be able to participate.

Team USA Scholarship Names Six Candidates For Auto Club Speedway Shootout

Six young American drivers will converge on Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, Calif., next Monday, September 8, for a shootout to determine who will represent the Team USA Scholarship in the traditional Formula Ford Festival at Brands Hatch and the Walter Hayes Trophy at Silverstone, England, later in the fall. This will be 25th year the scholarship has assisted promising American youngsters at an early stage in their careers.
