State representative attacked in Carmel

According to the "victim" he met the young man in a secluded place, and while the young man was sitting in the passenger seat of his car, he pulled out a gun.
The gun jammed, so he began beating him.

The couple who reported this incident to the cops said that the man in the passenger seat was wearing a red wig.

So...
An older man drives his car to a secluded area where a younger man, wearing a red wig, climbs into the passenger seat...
I'm supposed to believe this is all about a store being closed 26 years ago?
