Red Wings must restore defensive dominance to overcome free agent losses

Over the past week, the Red Wings lost the services of three forwards and a goaltender who, as the Oakland Press's Pat Caputo notes, posted 65 goals, 65 assists, 130 points, 25 wins, 2 shootout losses, and a total of 52 points in the standings.
