Israeli paper publishes Obama Western Wall prayer

This is shameful! Did the student get money for this?

I am outraged at the violation of privacy. how dare they publish what was meant to be between Obama and G-d?

I just wanted to share what one of our friends from VA sent us. Tiffany's husband is fighting in Afghanistan. This is his 1st hand account of Obama's visit this week. Dave

Hello everyone,
As you know I am not a very political person. I just wanted to pass along that Senator Obama came to Bagram Afghanistan for about an hour on his visit to "The War Zone". I wanted to share with you what happened. He got off the plane and got into a bullet proof vehicle, got to the area to meet with the Major General (2 Star) who is the commander here at Bagram. As the Soldiers were lined up to shake his hand, he blew them off and didn't say a word as he went into the conference room to meet the General. As he finished, the vehicles took him to the ClamShell (pretty much a big top tent that military personnel can play basketball or work out in with weights) so he could take his publicity pictures playing basketball. He again shunned the opportunity to talk to Soldiers to thank them for their service. So really he was just here to make a showing for the American's back home that he is their candidate for President. I think that if you are going to make an effort to come all the way over here, you would thank those that are providing the freedom that they are providing for you. I swear we got more thanks from the NBA Basketball Players or the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders than from one of the Senators, who wants to be the President of the United States. I just don't understand how anyone would want him to be our Commander-and-Chief. It was almost that he was scared to be around those that provide the freedom for him and our great country, but the press reported this story in a completely different light than it happened. This is scary, people!!
If this is blunt and to the point, I am sorry, but I wanted you all to know what kind of person he really is. What you see in the news is all fake, but you will never hear this story in the news!!!!!

Many people I know, as well as my own self, have placed notes in that wall, many as a last prayer in a desperate situation.

It is considered a direct and effective communication with the all mighty. And like all prayers, it is between a person and heaven and no one else.

Taking the note was an awful, awful thing to do.

I hope all the Black soldiers fighting there know this and should let Black America know this too. He does not deserve to be president especially the first Black president.

I took a Perillo tour to Rome a few years back. I guess that makes me an expect on foreign relations too. This clown is a joke. Playing Carmen San Diego for a few weeks cant make up for his glaring lack of experience, or his failure to take a stand on anything in his brief freshman term as senator.

As much as I cannot stand the inexperienced, ineffective, and un-qualified man; it is very shameful that someone would go take his prayer out of the wall so that it could be published and shown to the world. That should have been left where it was at or taken by a rabbi and placed in a secure place.

So you're not supposed to take the note out of the wall but one paper did it, so all the other papers will write about the fact that the one paper did it, and they will publish the note as well? Journalism is really going down the tubes.

I guarantee that your story is fabricated. Tell Tiffany's husband that next time he should speak up, like an American Army Officer should and ought to and say, "Senator, the troops are lined up and waiting for you, Sir." How else would he have known what the rituals are? If they were lined up, it must have been authorized by the brass or they would have been off doing other things. Right? Don't forget that part of the trip to Afghanistan was CODEL -- a congressional trip: There were two other senators with him, both with military background and both decorated, Jack Reed (D-Rhode Island) and Chuck Hagel(R-Nebraska). That portion of the trip was, in fact, led by Reed the senior of the three senators. So, stop fabricating stuff and forging documents. You might actually have committed a crime already as well as make your friends in Afghanistan and his wife, Tiffany, sound and look like jerks. Do you realize that?

You gotta love the "snopes", that site is my standard reply for almost every email I get with "fwd" in the subject.

As for the prayer, my bet is Obama made sure his prayer was revealed. It makes him look selfless and humble.

When you can spell expert and the contraction "can't" and when you have a degree in political philosophy from Columbia University and the a J.D from Harvard and then of course, you become a state legislator (from any state) and then a US senator and you are the chairman of the European affairs subcommittee of the Foreign Affairs committee, then you will be qualified. Did I mention anything about reforming the death penalty in Illinois to stop sending innocents to death row? Until you do all this, you will be just a cheap tourist.

Here is my common sense way of thinking. Yes It is wrong to take a persons prayer. I think it is immoral and not the correct thing to do. But if you think about it he has been looked apon as a person that is not Christian and a Muslim. So in his right mind with all media attention he has to know someone will steal the letter, it is a given it has happened in the past. I think he wrote what he wrote knowing it would be taken and shown around the world and then he can say well look at my prayer that was wrongly taken and was not supposed to be seen by anyone. I am a Christian as I have stated. Watch and see if it doesn't happen. It is all a political game.
