If they are going by the number of cigarettes that are being sold, then the numbers are not correct. I myself am going to a different state and buying my cigs at a lot cheaper price. Can't afford Arkansas prices anymore and don't want to have to start smoking a cheaper lower quality cig. I buy them in bulk and use coupons too. Now all I see that is decreasing is the amount of taxes that Arkansas is missing out on by getting greedy. A lot of people are doing the same thing that I am being forced to do. I am not going to quit smoking, because I am addicted to the most addictive drug in the world, nicotine. I have tried many times and I just can't quit. Have tried doctors, drugs like chantix, gums, you name it I have tried it. It just ain't going to happen. The only way to get people to stop smoking is to make it illegal to manufacture and sell them. Take away the drug and you will then see a decrease in the number of smokers. Until then, it all will remain the same, just that the cheaper cig companies will be getting richer and the higher priced cig companies will be suffering. I see this as taking from the rich and giving to the poor. Just redirecting revenues.

yeah Ar got greedy and now all us smokers go elsewhere to get our smokes. so much for that trauma unit they want to build lol. i for one buy my cigs out of state. since im not selling them it isnt illegal nor is it bootlegging. just the tax money is going to other states. OK saw the damage raising taxes too high caused. as will other states. but there will always be cheaper places to buy, cause those states r seeing the revenue rise and will keep their taxes lower. could be they r smarter than about 70% of the rest of the u.s. and i have tried everything there is to quit smoking, guess it is the one thing i will do til i die. but like ive always said, its my life i will live it and die my way.

I cross the state line for smokes and every time the parking lot is filled with Arkansas license plates. The only "habit" they're kicking is paying taxes to Arkansas.
