i agree, nice to see some good news for a change....now if i could just get that surgery too........5000 bucks seems a little steep for an outpatient procedure that only lasts about ten minutes. i wonder why it costs so much

Yes, very generous gift. It's interesting, however, that Santa Cruz went to a doctor over the hill for the Lasik procedure when they could have offered right here in Santa Cruz. We would be happy to be involved if we knew of the organization. Giving the Gift of Sight if definitely one we love. It's also interesting that the American Cancer Society is involved. We tried to donate a free Lasik Procedure to a recent ACS event, but they turned it down stating that they couldn't accept "medical procedures". Plager Vision Center, Santa Cruz.
