Having read the full article I would like to comment on an ongoing 10 year research program I am committed to through HET. Based in a primary referral unit I specifically used sensory equipment in a programme called the Rainbow journey with children presenting with ADHD.

This work is substantiated through later publications in brainbow research where the brain's neurotransmiiters map pathways which are compromised in children with ADHD and Autism.

Color is extremely helpful with these children but also short bursts of playing with UV toys help to balance the serotonin and melatonin pathways for ADHD kids (which of course link with dopamine)! They are able to focus in a calm way for longer periods achieving less 'consequences' for bad behaviour having spent time playing in this way.

If a loved one is upset about something you'll do your utmost to help today. That might involve letting them talk about what's wrong until they feel better about it, or giving them your emotional support. Although you'll want to take their side, bear in mind that they may not exactly be giving you an unbiased report of what's happened so you should keep an open mind.
