Garrett Willis was one of 25 Nationwide Tour players who secured a 2010 PGA TOUR card today at the season-ending Nationwide Tour Championship at Daniel Island in Charleston, S.C. by finishing among the year's top-25 money winners.

PGA Tour rookie George McNeill took control of the Las Vegas Open on Saturday, moving five shots clear by firing a five-under-par 67 in the third round.

Jerod Turner, who almost gave up the game earlier this summer, closed with a two-under 69 Sunday to earn his first Nationwide Tour victory at the inaugural Soboba Classic.

Craig Bowden posted a four-under 67 and shares the first-round lead at the inaugural Soboba Classic with Michael Putnam and Garrett Osborn.

The victory clinched a spot for Willis on the 2010 PGA Tour, based on his Nationwide earnings.

Willis, who has also played several events on the PGA Tour in 2009 under his past champion category, was already inside the all important top 25 heading in to this week's event but his narrow one shot victory over Chad Collins has him assured of return to the PGA Tour in 2010.

Garrett Willis won the WNB Golf Classic on Sunday to lock up a spot next year on the PGA Tour, closing with a 4-under 68 for a one-stroke victory over Chad Collins at Midland Country Club.

Chasing his second win in as many weeks, Fran Quinn shot a five-under 67 on Friday to take sole possession of the lead after two rounds of the WNB Classic.

Fran Quinn, last week's winner in Boise, former PGA Tour winner Garrett Willis and Rhein Gibson each fired rounds of eight- under 64 on Thursday to share the opening-round lead at the WNB Classic.

The Utah Championship is played this week at the Willow Creek Country Club in Sandy, Utah, the venue for the event since its inaugural staging in 1999.

One of the frustrations of the Nationwide Tour is that the best players move up to the PGA Tour and you rarely get to see the defending champion or former champions at your tournament from year to year.

The Nationwide Tour is in Knoxville, Tenessee this week for the Knoxville Open on the other side of the State to where the PGA Tour is playing the St Jude Classic in Memphis.
