Police Officer

The trial hinged primarily on testimony from a man who pled guilty to cocaine possession, anther who booked the hotel room for the high end drug dealers the night that they EXECUTED a Pa State Trooper (ADA Law Claus - stated that this EXECUTION was an ACCIDENT - in his closing arguements). Makes you wonder - police officers go out to complete a mission - put bad guys in jail - worry that you can get hurt - worry that this will affect your family - now worry that you can be put on trial if a few of them ban together and claim, well that you put them in jail with a little fabrication and well a little to much force. Did this officer do what they claim, well maybe he did, but just think, what it he was innocent. Well if he was, bad guys 1 police 0. Did justice prevail - I hope those 12 men and women were right !!

Officer, I agree to somewhat of what you say. It it a tough time to be a police officer, in the military, etc. I thank you for your public service. This conviction was based on more than what you state. An officer testified he witnessed Mr. Missig plant drugs, another witnessed him assault a suspect. Are they lying, possibly. Also, an an officer you should know this, how to most drug cases evolve and get prosecuted?. The "rates" turn on each other, why, to avoid jail time. Is there testimony to be more believable when against one another than against a police officer.
Officer, maybe you can answer this to me, why do these incidents seem so much more common in the borough police departments. Is it due to the lack of protocol. Thanks

What about the police officers that testified against him? They were not drug dealers. And what about Missig's police chief that was caught stealing everything, drugs, guns and just got out of jail. Missig and chief diener both were no good and got what they deserved!

Snoopy, I hear what you are saying and I agree. My beef is that when the testimony of so called "scum" is used to benefit the police and prosecution against one another this is considered credible testimony yet when the tables ate turned it becomes unbelievable. How many crimes were committed by a protected police informant in WM. The problem is this is too much of a game with peoples lives involved. I blame the system.

The police officer who testified against him now holds the position Officer Missig held - not most qualified applicant for the position but the only one who agreed to testify - and benifited from his testimony. There were officers who were present at the incident with Jasek that testified they did not see drugs planted - oh nile point - on those charges he was found innocent. What about the police officers that tesified for him - the DA threaten the cop who works in the DA office with losing his job when he was on the stand testifying that the FBI agent wanted a fabricated story to help convict Missig --(google Speranza - Ohio see who was involved in the investigation). And the witness for the proscution were not innocent boyscouts - their expunged records drug and violent crimes. amazingly a 4 year investigation and this is what the DA comes up with. It is a waste of taxpayer money for purely Political reasons.

I agree with you but thats our system. It seems to work fine when the bad people go to jail but when a civil servant does the system is always questioned.

If you heard any of the testimony you would no that the officer who testified against missig was not offered his position until much later and after several other officers turned it down. maybe he was the most qualified for the job? i dont know but these conspiracy theorys are entertaining.

It is a shame when you have to be in fear of regular criminals on the street, as well as police with malicious agendas.

Citizen, How about this. One of the other "two" cops that where offered the coordinator position was missig's brother in-law. He didn't take due to loyalty. I watched this trial from start to finish and I believe that the ADA and the FBI had tunnel vision from the start. My question is why Speranza wasn’t there. I know he retired but he should have had to be there. I hope all you cops and citizens realize that the FBI can come into your life and basically destroy it and then walk away and you are left to pick up the pieces. It is crazy

It is crazy Cop, respect your opinion and don't know alot about this case. Question, how many regular citizens lives have been destroyed by an over zealous ADA or police officer who over stepped their bounds just to get one more conviction or arrest. ADA wants to make DA, street cop wants to make detective. Too much of a game with peoples lives at stake. The justice system is not always black and white. Keep your own post in mind the next time you arrest someone who claims they are innocent
