Eskom is just doing their bit for racial equality. With no lights on everyone is black.

Despite the great damage done by Eskom not one person has been held accountable. Instead the ANC hides behind collective accountability.

When Thabo's came up with his ''African Renaissance'' he was talking the talk. It's pretty clear he can't walk the walk. Just another African regime with no accountability.

Here's another good on article on the Eishkom debacle:

The Teflon top brass

I like the title, very apt. As you say A4, zero accountability.

In any other country in the world chaos like this would result in a new government. But not in SA, no way, these people will draw their little X at the ANC, even if they die of hunger.

What I really like about Eishkom is the fact that last year they made a huge profit.
Because of this huge profit, huge bonuses were handed out. The CEO got more than 10 million.

This year the truth came out. These profits were achieved by Eishkom not buying coal.
Today the normal one month of coal that they used to stockpile at each power station is gone.

So Eishkom didn't make the profits by being more productive or more efficient.

No, it made these profits by removing a necessary component for power generation.

Today the whole country is paying for this 'mistake'

I think the top management should be held accountable. At best they should give back all bonuses received and at worst be prosecuted for mall practice and fraud.

Except that this is Africa and if you're black you can't be held accountable for your stupidity.
