Have you lived in Zambia!? I mean, did you actually think about some of the thngs you put on your list BEFORE writing them down, or even educate yourself on the Zambians' situation. I love the Zambians, don't get me wrong, but they are the main cause of they're own problems. Corrupt government, traditions, superstitions, an inability to work together and make change because of tribal differences... any type of economic growth is all due to foreign aid... a lot of which is missionary work of all types of denominations that fall under the Christian umbrella. If anything, the foreign aid given to them has hindered them more than anything. We've put more money in the pockets of corrupt government officials, and for the common Zambian that does get support, it's now expected. Grown men refuse to care for there families because they expect the musungus to support them. The only thing hindering the Zambians from receiving the things on your list is themselves! Good education! The majority of good education comes from MISSIONARIES!... Peace... they are the ones fighting with themselves... Food on the tables...the people that eat are the ones that make an honest living (and they are content with what they have)... Good Health System and Services... again foreign aid, a lot of which is MISSIOARY work...Jobs... talk to the corrupt government officials about that.... A "Happy Life Here and Now"... What!? Who doesn't want that? I can't believe you even put that on there!...Social Recreation Clubs for everyone... I'm not even going to comment on that one!... Freedom of Choice... sigh... Learn the facts before you open your mouth... you sound like a fool... Amazing wrote: Why would Bemba speaking people want the Chinese to come and preach to them the "gospel" when that job's been done by others long long time ago! It,s bad enough to swindle the last coin from a poor mans pocket, but brainwashing is the last thing Humanity needs right now. Bemba speaking people amoung others needs: 1. Peace 2. Food "on the tables" 3. Good Health System & Services 4. Good Education 5. Jobs 6. A happy life here and now 7. Soical recreaction clubs for everyone 8. Freedom of choice 9. Watch out for the "enemies" and know their friends. 10. Plenty of Kwacha,s to spend just like everyone would!!!!

its amazing how we Zambian what to create trouble even when there is none. we are zambian and there is no tribe which is better than the other.judge people based on their characters and not tribe. the bible says we have all fallen short of the glory of God and l think we have really fallen and none in this country called Zambia can stand up and prove me know.so what, if bembas are the best or the worst or anyother tribe is better. the economic hardship that this country is experiencing is felt by all. ONE ZAMBIA ,ONE NATION is the way to go.

All of you people arguing about what Bembas have done or not done for their country should be ashamed of yourselves! I can see that most of you have either not travelled out of the country or ou live like scared rabbits wherever you are outside Zambia. Do you realize that South Africa has Zulus (If you are in RSA go to townships like Katlehong, Tembisa, Alexandria, Mamelodi, Soweto etc - at least marshall up some bravery as I know few of you can do this!!!!); Botswana has Tswanas (by the way they have the Vendas, Karangas and other tribes) and so on and so forth. What they have done there is to recognize the language that is more widely spoken and supported its usage while understanding that there should not be suppression of other languages and the tribes that speak them. Whether there are Bembas that stole or are stealing is neither here nor there. After all other tribes also have thieves too and crooks: Michael Mabenga is not Bemba, Mwanawasa, while we recognize the good work he did, but do you remember the UNZA land saga? Was he Bemba? Please understand this one simple fact: NO BEMBA HAS EVER RULED THIS COUNTRY, PERIOD!!! All these guys that mess up in the political gallery are just Bemba wannabes! Those of you that have lived with true Bembas will acknowledge this other fact: Bembas are the most friendly, untribalistic, humble, unpretentious, and loving people. Ask Kaunda about this, they never harangued him even if he left Chinsali like a Ghost village in Afghanistan after ruling the nation for 27 years-compare Chipata and Chinsali! By the way NEITHER CHILUBA NOR SATA IS BEMBA...NOT EVEN KATELE KALUMBA. Compare Lupando Mwape (a Bemba) and Katele Kalumba ( some Luapula small tribe guy)- you see honesty and chastity in one and dishonesty and mischief in the other. That is the reason why Mwanawasa wisely chose Lupando!!!
Fact: Bembas are not as domineering as the other 'big' tribes do in other African countries. They are good people and politicians have used this fact to their advantage. You should have asked late Aderson Mazoka, former Head Boy at a school in Kasama (the heart of Bembaland) if he was ostracised. Just look at Rupiah Banda's government and see the contrast between a person that grows up amongst Bembas (Kaunda) and one that emanates from elsewhere! Also ask the Easterner (even Lozis for that matter) why they insist on marrying Bemba women?????
I rest my case.....
