We must surely be living in one of the dirtiest cities in Latin America. The locals just don't care, they just don't understand to throw their rubish in a bin, dumping their half smoked ciggarettes on the sidewalk -why?
During the present election campaigne the blancos, representing the so-called upperclass are strewing the city with there propaganda(just take a look outside their offices)- if they have so little respect for the city, the environment and others who have to live here, how can we trust them with the country?

Have to totally agree. I'm from the UK and been here for almost 5 years. Just walking around everyday in Pocitos I see people everywhere throwing their litter on the streets even if they are 2 metres from a rubbish bin!! Really fustrates me and sometimes I can't resist telling them that they have dropped something. Usually receiving verbal abuse back.
It would be such a nicer place if people just took care of their own litter. Come on Uruguayans please look after your own towns a bit better.
What are you teaching your children?

The change of mentality must start at the school level. Once you get to know other cultures that can compare to your own you realized which things we should work on

Daily Horoscope for December 24

Taurus

Keep calm! Your emotions are becoming increasingly heightened and intense today. As a result, you're likely to take things much more seriously than usual. That's wonderful if you're involved in a hot and heavy encounter with Mr or Ms Right, but it won't be such good news if you go overboard about silly trifles. If you're doing some last-minute shopping you'll want to be as extravagant as your budget allows. Or is it a case of Budget...? What budget?
