Good cop, bad cop? I knew them all

It's not as if the cops are all good guys. They're not. They tell lies, they swear, they sleep round - they do all that. A former police colleague of Willie Greenshields would like to get in touch to discuss old times. via Evening Times

People should not underestimate the personal ramifications that will face the author.

Disgruntled ex-cops and possibly former colleges of Mr Greenshields will want to silence him, perhaps permanently!



I would like to take this opportunity to personally thank WG for the courage he has shown and wish him well with his new venture.



It is also interesting to note that far too many allegations against Strathclyde police remain unanswered, this was initially due to my first ever book on the subject 'The Ferris Conspiracy'.



No doubt WG will get some major flack over his new book, albeit a refreshing introduction into the literary world to balance out views for readers of true crime that need to be told, especially from a police insiders point of view.

Please read the third and final book,'Greenshields a Glasgow Cop. End of an era'. No punches pulled this time. It's all true and I've got nothing to lose. The neds hated me and I've very few friends amongst my former colleagues. Do I give a shit? Frankly,'no'. I policed Glasgow in the way I thought fit for the time. The neds were bad, so I was worse,it was the only way to combat them. I also detested the lazy and inept cops I sometimes had to work with and admired the honest and straight guys who like me were farting against thunder. My era has gone,unfortunately. Dragging a ned into a close and giving him a hiding is now a thing of the past.These cretins now have Social Workers to look after their every needs and if a cop as much as looks at them, a complaint against the police is raised. Whilst I'm still on my high-horse, I also detest Social Workers, a complete and utter waste of public money.Normally social misfits themselves, unable to hold down a proper job and strangers to soap and water. If it wasn't for them the Citroen 4 c.v.(the wee vegetarian car) would never have sold in this country. I am so glad to be out of it now, I would really struggle to be a cop in todays world. Read the 'Greenshields' books and maybe you'll see where I'm coming from. I lived in the real world.
