The planet is an unholy mess because of right wing greedy, selfish, Capitalism, which cannot be blamed on the leftist.

We have to work as a whole, and for all, with many democratic guidelines in place, to stop corruptive forces, this is the only means that our society will work properly, and not just for the greedy few.
Thatcherism were this all began in the 80s, whenever the history tellers look back and hopefully unkind to, will be able to see that this was the beginning of a once democratic caring country, going into an uncaring meltdown, and were only the super rich were to be cared for and thus properly looked after.
Centres of once bustling towns are today desolate, whereas the large superstores, on the outside of these towns, are coining it. Small businesses are dead, whilst again the rich prosper. Our society needs to step back and take a damn good look at itself. We have become America, were the biggest failure of not helping, educating, nurturing the common people is a daily arrogant acceptance.

This is a good post overall, but I don't think the capitalist system itself is to blame.

Capitalism, which I think is our best bet, thrives on healthy and fair competition. When the rich and powerful monopolise and stifle competition, then it becomes as bad as any socialist alternative.

I'm looking at companies like Tesco, who are tactically destroying local economies, and replacing what they destroy with low paid jobs and inferior mass produced products.

I agree completely about failing to educate and empower the 'common people', but I think social trends are more to blame for the current mess than the actual system. You can't educate unwilling people who think it's not cool to be educated because their puerile rap heroes tell them so.

If "the internet has killed the high street," (great title for a song)lol how come Tory finacial contributors, such as Sainburys, and Tescos are making huge profits every quarter as there online business sales, is relatively small in comparison to there open door sales.

Any privatation within the NHS has been a total failure to date. For example, one of the reasons MRSI was to be ever present a few years back, which unfortunately, was to have caused many unnecessary deaths, was to be the total failure of private cleaning companies to do there job properly. Which was the simple task of cleaning all hospital wards, and toilets on a daily basis.
Whenever the usually Tory fat cat capitalist owners of these so-called cleaning companies were to have received there massively over-rated government cheques, whilst paying third world wages to there staff, they simply could not have cared less, for the state of cleaniness within NHS hospitals, which was to then result in much death and misery and severe illnesses for many. In my opinion, they should mave been prosecuted and jailed for there obvious mismanagement and uncare to duty during this period. Bottom line, the latter is the perfect example of privatation, Greed and prestige, not health and safety or community spirit become paramount to these fat cat legalised gangsters.
