Musante, president of the Greater Norwalk Chamber of Commerce.
"They have an excellent name," he said. "It would be a great ending to the story if he was able to get the company back and continue here." continue what, look where the company has a employee base its not in Norwalk, hey Ed what about all the losses Norwalk has had in the first quarter of this year ? 70 businesses? |

I don't understand.. if this company still has 100 working employees, where are all of them? None of their showrooms are open, no one answers the phones at any of them. Will this company really be up and running again someday? I feel as though this article is missing some hard facts!

1 Yes, but what about all the customers who you did take checks from? They have all paid a lot of money, which you have, but they are not getting their orders, even the ones that are completed and were due for shipment. The compnay has not answered their phones or returned messages in 2 1/2 weeks, and the Peacock showrooms across the country are closed. No current, already paid, clients have been contacted as to what's going on. Clients who have paid a lot of money for Christopher Peacock products have just been left in limbo. Even if Christopher Peacock can find a way to buy back the company, it is doubtful they can recover from the tarnished image they will have from the way thay have handled this with customers who gave them large checks on good faith. It is incedible that current customers have not been contacted nor is there even a reference on the website directing current clients who they can contact for information. I don't see how the following can continue to be said with the above information. "It's a very strong company with a.... reputation for doing the right thing." |

I design kitchens here in Darien,CT.
I'd be happy to look at any drawings from current peacock projects and see if there is any way we can get replacement products for them at a discount. Email me,Andrew at SBD kitchens Andrew@sbdkitchens.com We are here to help. |

I am the owner of SBD Kitchens and I feel that it is important for me to express the respect and admiration I have had for Christopher Peacock as well as my other collegues in the industry. It is sad that it has gotten to this point and I cannot judge how things are being handled. I truely feel that Mr. Peacock has worked very hard over the years and developed quite a name for himself in the indusrty. I am sad to see this happen to him and his former company. As for my employee Andrew I feel that the wording is not as approprate as I would like it to be, however I do not feel he meant any harm. During these difficult times I can only wish a good ending to an unfortunate situation and do hope that Mr. Peacock will again be a worthy competitor. Thank you Sarah A. Blank CKD |

1 It is one thing when the economic times take down shady companies run by sleazy executives, but when it affects such a great brand with such great people, it doesn't compute. When you are a fly on the back of the 900 pound guerilla, you live and die by the guerilla (Smallbone). None of us saw this economic tsunami coming. If you did, please let me know so you can manage my $$$. As for the nay sayers... a wise man once said to me, "you never know who your boss will be tomorrow, so treat everyone with respect today". Keep your tongue in check, because Chris will be back, and you would be lucky if you had the pleasure of working with such a solid guy. I know for certain, Chris did/is doing everything in his power to make good on his promises and ensure his internationally respected name is held to the high standard it has in the past. I hope and pray CP remains solvent because it is a special brand with passionate people. |

Chris Peacock's design team in Greenwich worked closely with my husband and I to design and implement the heart of our newly renovated home,
our kitchen, butler's pantry and breakfast room. The professional and personalized attention to detail and follow-up with us as clients, our architect and contractor was excellent. Chris came to see the finished product and his passion for his work was evident in each person that worked on our project. We are rooting for his success in putting Christopher Peacock Cabinetry back in business. |

We sent a large payment to Peacock before all this happened, and we have not been able to reach anyone nor has anyone called us since early April. I hear a rumor that CP is hoping to start a new company, but he 1) has to get someone willing to lend him money given his financial difficulties in the past and his poor judgement or lack of due diligence with his recent Smallbone decision; 2) find people who will work for him. It seems his employees in the showroom and at his factory had no notice, have not been paid and have lost their health insurance; 3)find customers willing to take a chance on him when there are so many other choices out there. Given that he has made no contact with "current" clients, I'm doubting they will have much good to say about him. Great guy. Great eye. Exceedingly poor business judgement.
