What a read! I couldn't stop reading this thread. Sorry for the misery that happened. One thing you Brits need to know about justice is that in America you need to make it happen. What happened to Leggett's partners in crime? Why did only a Brit take the rap for all this? You all need to stop complaining to each other and put pressure on the U.S. Attorney's Office, so they will prosecute. Get for Foreign Ministry (is that what your State Dept is called?) involved. Get your Orlando Consulate involved. Get your press involved. Get them to answer why only a Brit took all the blame. What about the American? And surely Leggett's wife was involved. Looks like the prosecutors got lazy. The easy guy got squeezed and rest got away, because the prosecutors didn't want to put the work in. It happens often. So, if you want justice, you've got to demand it and use the press/foreign ministry/whatever to convince the authorities.
