What is more horrific about horse meat, in comparison to, say, lamb or pork? If there's one good thing about all this bollocks, it's that it's making people think about where their food comes from. SpaceBlues wrote: What about the USA? Well, if you've got big companies who sell processed meat, and they use agents to get the 'best' deals from suppliers, then you're probably also eating all sorts of crap from Latin America in your hamburgers and hot dogs.

McDonald's is not guilty this time. They stop putting meat in their burgers long time ago: they use sawdust instead.

Yes, and also the quality and content of processed meats, that can apparently enter our food chain from anywhere on the globe. If they can lie about what species is in it, it hardly gives me much confidence that they're acting in good faith in other areas of it's journey to our plates.
