A nice comment from Turkey to a trading partner but an impossibility especially when the Ukraine government is being Rusified faster then ever. Even recently the newly appointed head of the Secret Service of Ukraine (SBU) was a Russian army officer in 1998. The Ukrainian president is setting back Ukraine to Moscow control for his own financial personal gain. Treason at its finest. Poor Yulia, the people should have made the orange revoloution look tiny after she was imprisoned, in contrast she is 1/1000 th the crook Yanukovych is. The way things are going the Ukrainian language will be outlawed in a couple of years.

Putin has proven his power in the region.

Neither does Russia, Ukraine should be for Ukrainians. After the great famine anyone attacking those Russian commies would get a high five, ya he is history the wiki leak docs show how the Russians threatening to murder his children after unsuccessfully trying to kill him worked. The Georgian leader made a military strategy victory by attacking and destroying a tank column of Russian battle tanks and shooting down the first 6 fighter jets that crossed the border... If those are for peacekeeping I find it funny because UN peacekeeping forces do not use fighter jets or main battle tanks, because Russians paint their helmets blue doesn't make them peacekeepers either where's the security council mandate or general assembly vote... Certainly not in Moscow! The American Mediterranean battle group did show up and marines went face to face with Russians the Russians backed down, Bush was not letting them take anymore of Georgia why do you think the Russian foreign minister gets so pissed talking about Sakashvili... They disappointed Putin by not killing him its a Russian military failure. It must drive Putin nuts all the Russians vacationing there since the casino building went nuts on the Georgian coast even Turkey is concerned.

That Idiot Sakashvili got the spanking he deserved,no marines showed up or they would have been killed if they got in the way,the Russians trashed a lot of Georgian equipment and took the rest Home, and why should it drive Putin nuts if Russians go on Holiday to Georgia? they have been doing that for generations, talking of Sakashvili where is the bastard these days back in the US or Israel?

Green berets and a complete battle group deployed I actually witnessed it on Russian TV when I was in the region at the time. Who do you think gave the Georgians anti aircraft missiles that destroyed Russia's latest fighter jets? Who do you think gave GPS coordinates to destroy the Russian tank column it's called American satellite real time technology awesome isn't it. Georgia will soon be in NATO and Russia will be disappointed it missed her opportunity. At least I give you some facts, I can track down archived video but I'm getting ancy for some fresh air, its -18'C here and dropping to -29'c tonight so I'm running out of daylight. Later bud.

Still peddling the same old commie cr*p Roby? Ukraine can join whatever organisation it likes whether Putin approves of it or not. Yushchenko was not a fascist, he just didn't take any cr*p from Putin, it's judt unforunate that all the hard work of the Orange revolution crumbled when Yushchenko and Yulia fell out.
Everybody knows that Russia was the aggressor in the Georgia conflict, and they got the land they wanted with their illegal invasion, only a crackpot commie like you could think that Georgia was responsible.

I am not a Communist you Fascist Clown,Nato is an aggressive violent gang, why should Russia tolerate it on its borders, they won't so get used to it,and Yushchenko was a Fascist like you who celebrated the Ukranian SS,thats a fact, and i believe most Ukranian people would be against joining Nato.

Anybody who glorifies Russia and praises Stalin like you is a commie. Russia is an "aggressive violent gang", if Putin wasn't so intent on starting a new cold war, then he'd have nothing to fear from NATO.

There has always been a misinformation campaign about NATO active in Ukraine, but I say this who doesn't want Ukraine in NATO and the EU? Russia, so the main financial source of misinformation is Moscow. Although you are right lots of Ukrainians don't want NATO membership, but after experiencing these last few disastrous economic years I think the feeling will take an about turn and if Ukraine ever does get her soveirnty back and Germany simmers down about Ukraine being a potential cancer to NATO things could slowly work out. Brussels leadership would have to spend lots on restructuring the military intelligence to expel Moscow driven members of the Ukraine military, so it would cost member nations lots and with Georgia in NATO soon It would strengthen NATO immensely. The Russian Black Sea fleet would be expelled simontaniously with NATO membership as well. Canada tried hard to get ukraine in NATO before but I admit Germany was right ukraine is not ready or a free nation yet.( still blown away at the Russian officer is now in charge of Ukraines secret police, the president committed treason to his people )

All those idle talks about lousy Ukraine got already stuck in gizzard! Ukraine should join here, Ukraine is awaited there... will warmly be welcomed in NATO, will undoubtedly fit the EU. Pfffff... Gone mad? Who cares seriously about Ukraine with its totally demolished national army and backward Soviet times military technologies in NATO? Who need indeed this Ukraine with its critically lame economy steadily running a deficit in EU? For the latest decade haven't heard a thing from Ukraine, but growth in export of cheap prostitutes and those constant gas disputes.

Yes, undoubtedly Ukraine depends much on Russia today and unfortunately what the current president of Ukraine Yanukovich does with his bad politics is worsen the situation day by day. So let just Ukraine be now a headache for Russia, as it always was since the USSR is down.

Needy Greece, sinking Spain and shaky Italy... Haven't heard yet the prior issues in Europe are already solved.

You show me any post i made where i praised Stalin, also how can you call Russia aggressive ? are you on crack? its the US and its underlings that have been on a Global rampage for decades, and you don't think Russia should be defending its own borders or its people.

When the Soviet Union went and that naive man Mr Gorbachov thought he could reason with Western powers he was told when the Russians pulled out of East Germany and Eastern Europe there would be no expansion towards Russia by Nato, what happened?

You are talking nonsense, what Journalist did the Russian Government murder?what human rights activists?what wars? and to say they killed the Polish president is more than ridiculous.as for Georgia we all know what happened but you won't have it,a madman thought he could start a war with Russia and his friends in Washington would help him out but i think they had the good sense to tell the Clown he was on his own, only mistake the Russians made was not finishing the job and bringing the idiot to justice.

Lol where do I start.
Georgia is on its way into NATO looks like the opposite of what you see. American forces are all over Georgia as we speak. Belarus and Ukraine could not escape Russia's grasp Georgia has, deal with it they got their freedom!
