Yes, me and many who think like me all over Europe.
Maybe you Ukes want to go to bed with Yanks, but WE, in Europe had to put up with their unsufferable behaviour for decades!
Also, the stationing of foreign troops is forbiden by the Ukrainian constitution and I presume that it will be in full force after 2017 when you recover Sevastopol. OK.
But why don't you accept that Europeans could have the same aspirations and wish the American bases to be closed?
Europeans LOVE American bases.

I read how Germany got mad when the US said it might move its bases from Germany to Eastern Europe. The article said that the Germans recognized how much these US bases contributed to the German economy which the Germans didn't want to give up.

I was shocked to read this report in that it was coming from the wealthiest nation in Europe! lol It says something I would say.

Well, I can't see why you object to Russians being in Sevastopol whilst I have to accept US bases in Britain.
Sevastopol is 'under control' too, I suppose? What's the problem having the Black Sea Fleet in Ukraine, eh?
How dare the English government agree to U.S. bases in England without consulting Robby. Not wonder his ego is bruised.

I have never imagined for one second that Ukraine could be part of Russia again, but that is for the people themselves to decide.
Crimea and East Ukraine can have a different opinion. Certainly that discriminating against them and bringing petty legislation makes them feel ostracised and not part of Ukraine. In that case, obviously they will seek support in Russia and became disloyal to Ukraine.
That is exactly what Yushchenko and his gang have managed: alienate those they should seek to attract, by persecuting them and making them feel unwanted. He hasn't play his cards right. Instead of being an unificator in his country, he has created division, and everybody saw through his tactis. Now, he has support from neither side!!
Crimea and East of Ukraine cast their vote for Ukrainian independance. It means they knowingly accepted the right of Ukraine to chose its own course in politics. It means that they agreed to respect Ukrainian constitution and the power of majority. Article 10 of Constitution of Ukraine states very clearly:
"The state language of Ukraine is the Ukrainian language.
The State ensures the comprehensive development and functioning of the Ukrainian language in all spheres of social life throughout the entire territory of Ukraine."

Yushchenko did exactly what constitution dictates " ensuring comprehensive development and functioning of the Ukrainian language".
And that means in the West, East and South because Ukraine is unitary state.
East and Crimea are part of Ukraine and do not have separate constitution.
Conglomeration of ethnic Russians in that region does not separate them from the rest of the country and its constitution. However constitution guaranties use and protection of Russian, and other languages of national minorities of Ukraine.
What is the problem?
Russian schools are open and full of students that wish to learn Russian, but they must learn Ukrainian as well as it is state language. The same law was in Soviet Ukraine. Our school's language was Ukrainian but we all learned Russian language and R. Literature.
I was happy to learn both and loved R. literature as much as Ukrainian. I was excellent in both and acceded expectations of my teachers.
Young Russians are happy to learn Ukrainian. Only old Russians complain even though nobody is forcing them to learn. They are not in schools anymore. Its nothing more then Russian chauvinism and old soviet mentality. This will all change. And mark my words Yanukovich will lose election over this particular issue.
Majority of Russians give their support for Ukrainian language as the state language.
Russian citizens of Ukraine have no right to seek support from Russia. Any such attempt will be considered PROVOCATION and TREASON!
There are laws and governing bodies placed in Ukraine for resolution of any disagreement and problem.
Any complaints about violation of Human rights are filed in Strasbourg not in Moscow!

Just look at his chances of re-elections, they are absolutely NIL (3% actually). That should tell you something about his policies!!

It can take 1 or 2 generations to implement the social changes he envisaged, but he tried to do it in 4 years!

Yanugovich may not be the best candidate for the Party of Regions and for Russia-speaking Ukrainians, but they are the only one that defend them.

If you ask people living around US bases, some of them will give you a very positive opinion, because yes, they may benefit from economic fallouts, like jobs, trade, etc...

But if you make a NATIONWIDE survey, you will have a completely different picture. Most German in 2009 will question why they still need 'protection' from the US, when their country is reunited, the Warsaw Pact doesn't exist anymore, there are no Russian troops for 1000 miles, etc...

There is a growing feeling in Germany and other NATO countries, like Italy, for US bases to close down. The US keeps claiming they 'won' the cold war: why that arsenal is still needed in Western Europe then?

Yushchenkos mistake was in bickering with Tymoshenko and allowing Yanukovich come back into political circle of Ukrainian politics. The thug should have been prosecuted for rigging elections.
If anything he was to soft and to clean for the job. He did a lot but not enough. People want economical stability and they want it "yesterday". I don't blame them.

I will say that I disagree with you that Yuschenko acted quickly! He acted quickly on what???? He could NOT DO a thning because of constant bickering in the Ukrainian parliament. If there was somrthing taht Yulia and Victor Yuschenko agree the POR acted like clowns and blocked the podium. i think that the main reason Yushchenk failed is because the constant bickering between the president and the Prime minister. There appears to be no clear rules as to who is governing the country. As far as Yaknowitch is concern .... if he is capable of rigging elections what else is he capable of doing??? Would he be a good trusty person for Ukraine??? NO! NO! NO!

The cold war may be over, but Roccia should learn to mind it's OWN internal affairs and not that of countries like Ukraine, Georgia Estonia, or Lativa etc. Roccian troops are 1000 miles away??? Georgia does not look that far. We still to keep an eye on the Roccian bear as he is still hungry and growling! Why the arsenal in Europe?? Will take a look at country like Iran. We all should be thankful that Sadam was found and they got rid of him. Iran is saying it is a poor country and yet plenty of money is spend on developing the nukes. All of Europe and even Roccia and America should be concern about Iran's intentions. Iran will use the nukes against any country and we must stand united and not allowed this to happen

Any more questions on why and how a man by the name of Stalin can make such a thing as Cannibalism a reality in the years 1932-1933AD, or are the questions satisfied? Yeah, the same happened at Jamestown Colony too, in the 1600s, but that wasn't a forced genocide, and those at the Jamestown Colony dug dead bodies out of the graves in the winter to have food, the persons eaten in Ukraine in 1932-1933, because of Moscow's flexing its genocidal-imperialist-oppresiv e muscles on Ukraine's land, and against 7-10 million innocent Christian Ukrainian Farmers. Anybody got some more questions, or is this discussion and its point made clear?

In Russia the LGA is rising and looking to fill its ranks from elsewhere! LGA stands for Liberal-Guay-Army! I wonder, do they give baptisms for free in the arctic ocean, or do they just rape and eat Ossetian, Abkhazian, and Checcnyan babies, inbetween sucking blood out of goats, gypsys, and their hoaring mothers?

A rather interesting fact is that Ukraine is possibly the only country in Europe that is more corrupt than mine.

So should America!! Europe is for Europeans!!

From the site of the Berlin wall to the Russian border, Russian troops have withdrawn more than 1000 miles.

Is Iran in Europe? Since when ?

Why should Europe be concerned about Iran? It's America scaremongering again!

Be sure to post this comment again when the Iranians drop a missile on Britain.
I am sure you will be in the vanguard crying foul if Iran drops something on Russia.
Are you so silly that you would trust the Mullah"s? Look at the past history of Muslim Extremist Terrorists- Or are you going to blame that on America also?
Really, the more you post the sillier you look. Go take your Alsheimer's medicine like a good little old fool.
