We who come from western uganda must disentangle ourselves from the fate of this vampire.otherwise like these riots showed,he gives world standard security to his family and exposes us to the consequenses of his unending thirst for blood.God bless us all.

The King is loved by his people while Museveni is just imposing himself where he's obviously not wanted. Museveni is a looser, was born one will die one, and will stay one even after his long overdue demise.

Uganda is a country for many ethnicities. The Baganda are being blind to the existence of other tribes all over the country. Can some of you who talk of 'love for the kabaka' tell us if you love him more than your spouse or children? Is this love or false worship. God is a jealous God. Nobody should take the place of God. And all people are equal in Uganda. All die and go to their separate ways, the loved ones and those who nobody pays attention to. Can Baganda tell us why it is only the Baganda talking about themselves, dominating the air wave, trade, politics, religion, and culture? I have looked at the Baganda tand found that they look just like any other Ugandans. Some are poor, while only a few are rich. Some are short in stature, and not very beautiful or handsome. What then makes them feel in their psyche that they are above others? Some are educated while others are not. If the Baganda want one of them to rule over the country, they should first acknowledge that their kings collaborated with the British colonizers. They volunteered their own to go and help the British conquer other regions of the country. As such, they know what their leaders did.

Kizito, that is no response! Kings are anocronism in modern life. Ugandan have to move forward. By all means keep the best traditions and culture and share them. However, politically Uganda has to move forward and create political, social and economic conditions for the welfare of Ugandans, not just few opportunistic individuals.

How do u move forward when one tribe wants total control over the others? How do u move forward when the president sales all the govt. assets to the members of his family? How do u move forward when the president is a hard core thief? How do u move forward when some tribes are disliked? The poverty rate is too high for us to keep quite. Uganda is a beautiful place without the crack heads leading us to no where!

Chirley seems to be challenged on an intellectual level.
Nobody can dictate to anyone on whom to love or whom to hate.
If the Baganda love their King over all else then it's their business and none at all of yours.
Find someone or something to love or just simply shut up!!

Official govt release was, the Buganda premier is stopped at the bridge because of fear for his security in Kayunga. The Premier didnt think so and requested that if they fear for his security, then let the heavily armed dudes escort him to Kayunga. But it wasnt the case.
Likewise, I am wondering, why pack a whole army+police+plains on the bridge. That scares people ya'know?...the source of riots.

Kayunga still looks fishy, land owners are being burned live...

M7 should go as he has overstayed by any means. Last two years, Uganda GDP has grown by nearly 7%. IF M7 does install a durable democracy the only way is downhill, oil or no oil!

Who created the poverty in Uganda?Who refused the kabaka to go to Kayunga? Who sold Uganda assets? Why is Uganda on welfare? Where do u find graduates unemployed? If Uganda and M7 are so good why are Uganda existing in larger numbers? The international law says you do not shot at unarmed civilians. Tribalism is not going to get us anywhere the bible says u are your brothers keeper. Hating baganda will not move them away! Uganda is a failed state and will continue to slide so longer as the greed thugs are in power.
Wake up look at the roads, schools, hospitals and the hopeless faces around u in case u do not get the message u must be on the payroll!
Cowards fall for the dictator.

Kizito poverty is by choice. Its only people who live in war affected areas who do not choose to be poor.Having said that Gulu which hasexperienced war for the last 21 years is very vibrant now and is growing faster than Jinja, which is relatively peaceful. What does that tell you? Its the peoples attitude at paly. Do yo know how many Kenyans,Congolese etc now live in Uganda? They come with nothing and end being very successful.Gov t owes people services i.e infrastructure, but owes no-one a living.People should learn to work hard & not expect to get hand-outs.Some youth wake up and stand by road side to smoke, play cards and argue about which tea will win the Premiumship league. While the clever onesengage in productive activities like carpentary,Metal works, etc.

Please save me. Growing up there was coffee mrking board, lint, cooperatives and other organized markets set up to uplift people from poverty. Coffee mrking board became the first victim after a raid by the first family of all its finances. The others are no more. Where does a farmer take his produce? All these measures were taken or engineered to foster a life dictatorship put the baganda in their place.
Uganda assets were sold, land is given away and the land bill is
to deprive our people the only asset they have.
I gain nothing from Uganda but cannot look the other way when my people are sinking deep.
60% from donors, but nothing to show the roads, schools, hospitals are falling apart and Martha is proud and cheers for the corrupt thugs trashing the country we all dearly love.
Income mismanaged creates poverty.Uganda spends a lot on defence other than the sectors important enough to uplift or create jobs for all.
I encourage to visit the developed countries to see first hand what it means to be developed.
Jinja used to an industrial area now it is more of a ghost town.
