Did Obote say - a good Muganda is a dead one?'

highly unlikely since Obote's wife was a Muganda. in those days there were many who wanted to malign Obote. The phrase is borrowed from Europe and does not appear to be Obote speak. Obote was sharp and ruthless in his comments but he would not say such a thing when he was happily married to Miriam.

It is not weather Dr. Obote said it or not, the question is ,'Was there truth in that statement or not ?, whoever said it knew Baganda very,very well,actually 99.8% of Baganda conform to that statement ,leaving the 0.02% very ,very insignificant !!!!,just check an article similar to the Baganda behaviours as seen by a certain tourist in the New Vision newspaper of Uganda archoives of 11th to 13th June 1995 and read for your selves.

Obote hated baganda for reasons only known to him he failed to realize that without them Uganda would not be. He used the kabaka killed him in hope to both gain and retain power. I celebrated when he passed away. We are in this mess because of Obote the thug.

There was one prominent Baganda who was the leader of the Democratic Party ...but he was sidelined at the Uganda independence deliberations in London. Why? Because erstwhile and opportunistic Obote planned the suggested breakthrough which was amenable to the Kabaka Yekka. Kiwanuka was shut up and the indirect election only for Buganda were agreed upon. As soon as some un-elected prominenet Ministers who were the KY apointees via the Lukiko crossed the floor to UPC I as a 14 year old realised the writings on the wall about the coming confrontation.
So Obote was power hungry but the blame should be shared all round as many fell for his temporary fix.

The fellow became president and utilizes the office to hate, promote divisions among Ugandans, laid the foundation for the present day trashing of the once a beautiful country. The sons and daughters are now found in many corners of the world.
The poisoning of kabaka in London the unforgivable act was planned by Obote as if he was live forever! Obote and evil go hand in hand.
