dear bay, it is hard for you to understand my feelings if you haven't been in Turkmenistan and not seen what your compatriots did (unfortunately still do) to our people. My hatred comes from mistreatment that rich moneywise but poor on sense of humanity turks inflict to turkmen people taking advantage of their situation (the country is in economical turmoil since more than a decade). I do agree that this particular group of low-educated and uncultivated turks might not be (I hope) representative of turks in general. However, it drives me out of my mind when the turks start claiming whole central asia, and in particular Turkmenistan, as "their" land, "empire", etc. There was and never will be such an empire ever. There was, are and will be Turkmenistan, and so about Turkey. Separate countries - different agendas.

Im from Turkey.Its a shame what some turkish children write in such forums.They are in puberty, so you dont take them seriously.Why should Turkey be the leader of all turkic countries?Yes we can build an turkic union but all countries should having equal rights.

I don't understand why some Turkmens feel threatened by Turkey? We, citizens fo Turkey, have a lot of warm feelings for Turkic people of Central Asia, the lands from which we migrated in the past.

We do not want your lands, or an empire which you do not want. We simply want closer ties with you. We share a common language, and we share common genetics.

If some Turkish people in your countries caused trouble, I feel sorry for that. But we Turks of Turkey, in general, love our brethren in Turkmenistan and elsewhere.
