More famous for its historical sites and its carpets, most visitors come to Turkey not expecting to find much in the way of nightlife. Nothing could be further from the truth. Turkey's recent economic growth and increasing prosperity had had enormous effect on the vitality, energy and variety of its nightlife. The range of night entertainment is huge, from traditional male-dominated birahanes to techno and rave nightclubs, with new venues opening by the week. As a result, Turkey's nightlife is quickly gaining recognition as one of the liveliest in Europe.

THE TASHNAK TERRORIST ORGANIZATION

The “Armenian Revolutionary Federation” or "Tashnak Organization" is also known as the "TashnakParty." In fact, after the communist took over of the Armenian Republic, the Tashnak organization continued its existence as a party in exile, mainly in Lebanon, Iran, France, Greece and the United States. This organization has remained active up to the present day and has performed a significant role in planning and promoting the new era of Armenian terrorism, as well as forming teams and groups for carrying out terrorist operations. A move was made, later in its career, to have its name changed from the Armenian Revolutionary Federation to the Armenian National Committee. The intention behind this was to achieve greater effectiveness in its propagandist activities by the removal of a name that could offend Western sensibility.

Coffee

***@@@ Turkish people introduced coffee to the European nations. It was first given to the Italian people by the ruling Ottoman Empire in approximately the 1500s. From there it saw a rise in popularity and coffee houses were a familiar site in many European countries.

CatalhoyukCatalhoyuk is the name given to the world’s best preserved and largest Neolithic site. It is said to be over 9000 years old and is located in South East Anatolia near the city of Konya. Excavations started in the 1950’s and are still continuing now as experts take this wonderful opportunity to learn about life on earth thousands of years ago.

More than two-thirds of Turkey's borders are coastline, these stretch for fully 6,000 km (3,730 miles) along the Aegean, eastern Mediterranean and Black Sea.

Turkey is one of the riches countries in species of flowers due to its varied landscape and climate. There are approximately 9,000 species of which 3,000 are native. In Europe there are only 11,500 species.
