Yesterday, I attended a very solemn ceremony at LA National cemetary which was attended by diplomats from New Zealand, Australia, Turkey, and Britain, as well as groups from these countries. National anthems and brief remarks on the significance of the day were heard in total harmony, respect, and peace. All this reminded of what someone said about the Dardanelles campaign: "The last war fought by perfect gentlemen on all sides."

This may be the only case where global hostility produce global friendship and peace. Why cannot others emulate the proud Turks and ANZACs in building mutual respect, friendship, and cooperation?

What Do Muslims Believe?

Muslims believe in One, Unique, Incomparable God; in the Angels created by Him; in the prophets through whom His revelations were brought to mankind; in the Day of Judgement and individual accountability for actions; in God's complete authority over human destiny and in life after death.

Muslims believe in a chain of prophets starting with Adam and including Noah, Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, Job, Moses, Aaron, David, Solomon, Elias, Jonah, John the Baptist, and Jesus, peace be upon them. But God's final message to man, a reconfirmation of the eternal message and a summing-up of all that has gone before was revealed to the Prophet Muhammad through Gabriel.

58% of Anzacs only volunteered to join and be part of the campaign simply because the British said it would be a walk in the park, had they known it was to turn into a hellhole not 1 Anzac have fought.

'Those heroes that shed their blood and lost their lives...!
You are now lying in the soul of a friendly country,
Therefore rest in peace.
There is no differences between you and the Mehmets to us
Where they lie side by side here in this country of ours.

You, the mothers who sent their sons from far away countries
Wipe away your tears; your sons are now lying in our bosom and are in peace
After having lost their lives on this land
They have become our sons as well.'
