Funny how welcomed the Americans are when the Cypriots assume that Biden is bringing them cash. As soon as they hear of conditions, the insults will start. If you fools think that you will be handed millions for free so you can cater to Russia, think again. America will not alienate Turkey to please Greek Cypriots who non stop express their hateful intentions towards the ethnic Turkish Cypriots minority. All it takes is news of cash, oil and gas to boost the ego and confidence of the Greek side. Anything else that requires compromise they are against.

Cyprus is a Western aligned country with historical and religious ties to Russia going back
to the Trojan war. That really pisses you off doesn't it?

....and before the Ottomans invaded Cyprus it belonged to the Latins and before that to the Greek speaking, Greek Orthodox Empire today known as Byzantine. Greeks have been living on Cyprus since the 2nd millennium BC....long, long before the Turkish nomads began their murderous destructive march into the Near East from the depths of Mongolia.

It's also funny how modern Turks say they aren't responsible for the Armenian Genocide because it happened under the Ottoman Empire yet at the same time claim rights on Cyprus because it once was occupied by the Ottomans.

Your observation is not a new one. It's been pointed out in print a few times in other contexts.

"If Turkey can claim Ottoman-era assets, then it must be held responsible for Ottoman-era liabilities such as plunder, territorial conquest, and genocide!"
