Since the IT turk regime of Ottoman empire dropped the "concept" of Jihad into the gutters by declaring a Sham Jihad on 12 Nov 1914 to support a German war of aggression, the Muslims are confused about the meaning of peace.
Therefore if TR (the modern representatives of the Ottoman Empire)is to pursue a global leadership role, she should admit and apologize publicly on their predecessors' behalf for the harm and suffering this abuse of religious stature had brought upon many innocent Muslims and Christians alike.
Otherwise credibility of Islam, as a peaceful religion, is not likely to recover by itself.
This is crucial is the efforts for global peace amongst cultures is to have any meaning and be successful.

I love it how Dandik brings everything back to his poor, peaceloving Armenian genocide claim ....

Wow, what a commentator ...

Fact is, Turkey is no small kid anymore ... it does the same what Germany, France, GB, Italy, Spain etc..... do !

Think at first on the interests of your own people ....

And that is the right way to do .... the same like the US !
