Turkish Airlines as Turkey’s rising star started its journey 77 years ago with 5 airplanes and today the same passion and enthusiasm manifests itself with 155 airplanes (passenger and cargo). On the 77th year of anniversary, THY has the youngest fleet in Europe and the new coming airplanes in the following two years, both the fleet age will decrease and service quality will be strengthened.

The prevailing vision since 2003 is still decisive, and despite the globally destructive effects of the economic crises, the already established investments now are paying back, and both in terms of number of passengers and profitability, as well as increasing the web of flight nodes, THY is growing progressively.

De-establishment

In 1927, all courses concerning religion were excluded from the curriculum of primary, secondary, and high schools on the basis that non-Muslims also live in Turkey. Between the years 1927-1949, religious instruction was not permitted in schools in order to stop the massive abuse of Islam which led Ottoman Empire to collapse. After the World War II in 1949, the Ministry of Education allowed a course on religion in 4th and 5th grades of primary school,

Turkey is one of the riches countries in species of flowers due to its varied landscape and climate. There are over 9,000 species of which 3,000 are native. In Europe there are only 11,500 species.
