Destinations

The destinations are in number of 158: 120 international and 38 domestic.

Turkish Airlines flies primarily to Europe, the Middle East, North Africa, most of Asia (including inner Asia, India, China and Japan, but less to southeast Asia), the USA and Canada, Brazil and South Africa, Nigeria, Senegal, as well as several places in Oceania.

The airline is a major carrier between Asia and Europe. Transit tourism is feeding the airline more in recent years than it did in the past. Many Europeans and Asians travel between their continents with Turkish Airlines.

You Know You're Greek When...

Your uncle owns a restaurant, has $3,000,000 in the bank, but still drives a '76 Monte Carlo.

the beautiful country of Turkey, which has for a long time been a well-hidden treasure of Eastern Medditerrenean. With a rich history, sandy beaches, wide variety of climate and landscapes, and several activities to do, Turkey is definitely a good option to have a remarkable vacation without straining your budget.

About Anatolia

Anatolia, Turkish Anadolu, also called Asia Minor, the peninsula of land that today constitutes the Asian portion of Turkey. Because of its location at the point where the continents of Asia and Europe meet, Anatolia was, from the beginnings of civilization, a crossroads for numerous peoples migrating or conquering from either continent.

Black book

Once upon a time the Hodja was a judge and one day a man came to him.“Your cow has killed mine!”, he cried. The Hodja shouted:“You silly fellow, how can the cow know that it is a crime to kill another cow. Case dismissed!”“Oh sorry”, said the man.“I said it wrong. My cow has killed yours.”“Then, this is another problem”, said the Hodja.“We'll open the black book and see what it says.”

Izmir Bazaar and Konak.

The main bazaar in Izmir is located in the centre of the city near the old Ottoman government mansion which still stands today and is known as Konak. The Izmir bazaar is quite vast and a couple of hours can easily be spent touring it. Goods on sale at Izmir bazaar include traditional Turkish handicrafts including rugs, carpets and bronze ware !
