Samiu believes competition lowers cost

Full story: Matangi Tonga

Samiu Vaipulu follows the text book theory that competition will lower cost. In reality, that can be close to the truth if it is properly managed and monitored.

For a nation that boasts a proud following in education Tongans have a peculiar habit of putting the village idiots into the decision making positions. Small world minds fixated on short term gains. Think global with long term in mind, has the writer only just figured this out about China? The time for the Matangi Tonga and like media outlets to have voiced concern to stir up public opinion has long sailed. You missed the boat by about 3 or 4 years pal.

My respects to Samiu, but when he exaggerates, he reallly exaggerates lol. but last one, before i gave up believing they meant every word, which i found a bit funny was that this Chinese bank that's supposedly coming to Tonga will increase GDP per capita by some crazy multiple. Wish the media asked the minister then how the addition of another bank will magically send the country into super economic growth, that would've been interesting. Also in our stagnating economy the banks, last time i checked, had more cash than they would have liked and would have been, and probably still are, trying to lend it out. I agree, the media should jump on these things. If they were more on to it, it might make people think twice before making stuff up lol jks

James 5:1-5,
Come now, you rich, weep and howl for your miseries that are coming upon you.
Your riches are corrupted, and your garments are moth-eaten.
Your gold and silver are corroded, and their corrosion will be a witness against you and will eat your flesh like fire. You have heaped up treasure in the last days. Indeed the wages of people of Tonga who mowed your fields which you kept back by fraud, cry out; and the cries of the reapers have reached the ears of the Lord of Sabaoth. You have lived on the earth in pleasure and luxury; you have fattened your hearts as in a day of slaughter.

... encouraging insanity and infidelity is something NOT to be proud of.... you must be really close to Samiu to know of his infidelity and that his family is okay with it.... and you must be from Vava'u.... in Tonga... lol.

Daily Horoscope for June 18

Scorpio

You're in a nicely emotional and loving mood today, and you'll be happiest if you can be with some of the special people in your life for at least part of the day. You don't have to do anything terribly special when you're together, either, because simply sharing a relaxing meal or watching television together will be enough. If you get talking, the conversation will turn to confidences and secrets.
