Qaddafi, as New African Union Head, Will Seek Single State

President Muammar el-Qaddafi of Libya was named chairman of the African Union on Monday, wresting control of a body he helped found and has long wanted to remake in his pan-African image.

It is apparent that African leaders do not like the unity because it comes with responsibilities and oversights. So the want to continue to suck their peoples blood. As to Obama he has a country he is proud to lead.

SA once had a good idea when after 1994 they wanted to remove tariffs and passports when crossing the border from Namibia to South Africa,but Namibia was scared it would lose its sovereignty again.

It makes more sense to create a Small Southern African confederation encompassing say SA,Namibia Lesotho,Botswana and Swaziland,than it does to align with African States that dont have good economy prospects.

why you talk too much while you know nothing. the african chairman has no power on africa comision, it is only to lead the conference nothing else. besides it is a rotating posion to all african memebrs now libia has got its turn,and what is new. gadaffi has stayed more than 40 yrs in power but he get not that posion yet, that means he have seen 40 other african leadrs get thier turn. he has almost get it at the last turn as there are only 53 stes of them 4 are not represented , eritrea, moroco, gunee and moritania.
it is nothing but this year it was the turn of the northern bloc and libia is one of them.

The good thing about Ghadafi is that he does not mention about ethnicity or religion,the only people who speak about it are the haters,thats the problem with some people that hate anything good that can come out of africa and still call themselves pan-africanists...
