Russia Said To Block U.S. Drug Plan Amid Wariness Over Central Asian Influence

Full story: Weekday Magazine

Russia has reportedly blocked a U.S. plan designed to help stem the flow of drugs from Afghanistan through Central Asia in a sign of Moscow's continued wariness about Washington's intentions in a region often thought of as "Russia's backyard." A delegation of U.S. officials led by Deputy Secretary of State William Burns and William Brownfield, the ... (more)

Russia certainly is not helping things in controlling drug smuggling. Russia all ready has one of the worlds most sharpest increases in heroin use.
At first they complained we were not helping them. Now they are afraid of us helping them. Give me a break from their stupidity and paranoia.

Typical nonsense posted by Smelly aka STD. We can only wish for a break from Smellys stupidity and delusions.
The West is losing the heroin war in Afghanistan and under their watch, heroin production rose from just 185 tons to a staggering 5,800 tons in the last 10 years. The increase in production was over 60% in the last year alone.
Doesn’t say much for the US and NATO’s efforts to eradicate the poppy fields.
The US Marines actually protect the poppy fields in Afghanistan.

The truth is obvious, you idiots,

The American despicable crooks, the criminals, the imposters, the lying bastards, are treacherously involved in the drug trade, hence the colossal rise in drug production, since those criminal American scum bags have been in Afgahnistan.

USA is involved in drug producing in Afghanistan, they protect the opium producers. So it's a bit funny when they talk about this topic. USA should destroy the poppy fields that they helped to create and protect all this years. After that we can talk about drug plans.

If I were a conspiracy buff, I'd suggest that since the Albanians/Kosovars control a majority of the heroin trade in Europe, that it logically follows that the skyrocketing Afghan opium trade is controlled by Hashim Thaci in cahoots with American mercenaries, the taliban and Hamid Karzai and that Camp Bondsteel is their processing, packaging and European distribution hub.

But I'm not a conspiracy buff, although so many coincidences make it very tempting. ;-)

Russia is wise not to fall for that American ploy. I wouldn't be surprised if it is US money and greed pushing those drugs into Russia in order to ruin the Russian people, like drugs are ruining a lot of American people.

Putin was smart not to trust the wonderful west who is transparently UNTRUSTWORTHY.

The west should pay a fair market price for the Afghan opium, convert it to morphine and other pain drugs and either sell them at a reduced price or give them to poor countries where pain treatment is limited or nonexistent. It would be a win win situation for everyone.

Sheik, I've been on this forum far too long and could really use some of that stuff.

Daily Horoscope for May 18

Gemini

Try as you might, you won't be able to convince a certain person to see things from your point of view. This character is far too busy letting you know that they're an individual in their own right and they won't be tied down by you. The more you push, the more they'll rebel, so try not to incite further displays of outrageousness.
