Golden Oriental Spa opens on Ocean Street in Santa Cruz

Full story: Santa Cruz Sentinel

The recession may scare off some entrepreneurs but not Sophie Yuan. She's the owner of the Golden Oriental Spa, which opened last month at 1211 Ocean St., home for 10 years to the visitor center run by Santa Cruz County Conference and Visitors Council.

Do you think they will offer a "happy ending" as part of the spa services?

...One time, I was landlord of two "Oriental Spas" tenants which were ran by Chinese females under covers of Visa students directly from MainLand. One shop lasts one year, the other, 5 months and both were busted by cops and ended up closure under "City-by-Law". So I knew what they all are about. And as landlord, I try to stay away from that kind of business-tenancy due to...headache. I would rather paying commercial taxes and leave it empty than lease out for those kind of....adventure! To those people they got nothing to lose, their bottoms are stuck with their bodies, no one can take away those! Aahahhahahahahaha!

Canadian MP Recounts Chinese Regime’s Attempts to Gain Influence Over Politicians

Free trips to China, honeytraps, lavish gifts used to compromise Canadian officials

Epoch Times: Jul 21, 2010 - EDMONTON—It could take the form of a guaranteed business deal, a lavish gift, or a young seductive woman at a bar. The end goal is always the same for the Chinese communist regime—to gain influence over Western politicians, says Rob Anders, Member of Parliament for Calgary West.

“The reach is deep, and it’s very unfortunate.”

Anders says the extent of the regime’s influence goes even beyond what Richard Fadden, head of CSIS, Canada's intelligence agency, said in comments on CBC in June or his televised appearance before a parliamentary committee earlier this month.

“I would argue that I’ve seen things happen on a federal level as well in our own government. And so I think there’s a lot more than he has even mentioned,” he says.

“I think that Mr. Fadden only gingerly scratched the surface. I feel for him that he was dragged before an investigative committee with parliament, to have to explain, and I think that this situation is far worse that what he let on.”
Last month, Fadden said in an interview with CBC television that some Canadian officials are under the influence of foreign regimes, alluding to China as the most aggressive country in the effort to gain influence. He said that many of those being manipulated by Beijing were not even aware they were acting on the regime's interests due to the long-term nature of their relationship with Chinese agents of influence.

Anders says he has seen aspects of that occur.

“What will happen is MPs are given five-star treatment when they go to China, and they’re being introduced to young people who speak immaculate English … and given the impression that China wants to be just like Canada,” he explains.
“They get approached by people who offer them business deals that frankly are too good to be true, because these are deals that are being set up by the Communist Party, and are being done as an informal way to bribe Western politicians, because it sounds like a business deal, but they are business deals that never fail, and are very lucrative.”

Bill gates beats that, YOU RETARD... he makes way more than 500 a day/trade

and 500 dollars MAY seem like alot of money too a LOW IQ dummy like YOU... especailly since you have told everyone you are on welfare...

but it really isnt that much...

MOST PEOPLE, WITH MONEY, EVEN TYPING HERE, have made thousands or even tens of thousands of dollars on 1 trade...

"Oriental" is to "Spa" what "Arbor Day" is to "Thanksgiving."
Oriental spas are not even in the same league as European spas. And so they have to hire Asian hookers to masquerade as masseuses in order to make enough to pay the lease. And the leg-humping pervs of the world come drooling in off the street to get their "happy endings. I give Ms. Yuan 3 months tops before the cops shut her down.

This place has a look from the outside that will make people suspicious I'm sure. But I hope people go in anyways. One short introduction to Sophie Yuan and it's obvious that this place is all professional despite it's outward appearance. I have been getting massages from Sophie at her other Santa Cruz location for a couple of years now and I hope I don't disappoint anyone but there will not be any "extras" offered I am sure of it! But if you are looking for truly great massage for a price that makes you feel a little guilty it's so cheap, this place is well worth a try. I consider it hard to find good massages and I have never had anything but good massages from Sophie or any of her employees. I would recommend this place to anyone.

On June 2, 2011, I saw a sign advertising a $45 massage with a free hot stone massage hanging on a sign outside of the establishment, Golden Oriental Spa. I walked in and purchased this promotional massage.
This was the worst massage and customer service I have had in my life.
1. The room was freezing when I got there. The receptionist was nice enough to turn on the heat when I complained, but the room should not have been freezing in the first place.
2. I was lying on the table for 15 minutes before someone finally came in. If they were running late, someone should have knocked on my door to tell me they were running 15 minutes late so I wasn't just laying there wondering what time the person was going to come in.
3. The person giving the massage never asked me if I liked it hard, medium, or soft. That is a customary question that should be asked from any massage place. The person massaging me never greeted me or asked me how I was doing and I she didn't speak any English (I know this because I did try to communicate with her) so I was very uncomfortable directing orders at someone who would not understand anything I said.
4. I never got the free hot stone massage offered in the promotion.
I complained and the receptionist (also the owner) blamed me and told me I should have communicated this to the person massaging me. The owner told me that I should have told the person massaging me what type of massage I wanted and that I should have reminded her to give me the hot stone massage. But what she is forgetting is that this person did not speak any English. I suspect she did not even have a massage license.
I want my $45 back.

Nearly everyone on this post I dare to say is racist or at the very best ignorant. Save one person how defended the shop owner saying that she had received excellant massages at her old location. The one low life who complained that he couldn't communicate with the maseuse probably did not communicate with the other people in the office that absolutely speak english about what he wants because he really just wanted the happy ending and was ashamed to tell anyone want he really wanted. So now hes belly aching about no stones when he really just wanted to get his rocks off.

Im ashamed that I have to comment about this stuff in regards to a professional establishment like the Golden Oriental. I have had three wonderful experiences here and will be bringing my girlfriend this weekend after she finishes her summer internship in New York City. Please do ask for the stones before you get your massage and I guarentee you will be pleased by this place. If you want to get f*cked by a hooker go to one of the side streets around Barson and Ocean. There you can f*ck til your hearts content and full of shame and your crutch is itchy and contagious.

You're disgusting. I guess since Europeans are the super race they would definitely give the best massages. We should gas any another group of people that tryies to give a massage and stone their hooker slaves.

I have been to Golden Oriental several times and have always been pleased. The place is very clean and nicely furnished. I have always been asked what type of massage I want and, during the massage, if it is satisfactory. The owner, Sophie, seems very interested in keeping her customers happy and is very accommodating. This is not a "rub and tug" establishment, but one that offers a very therapeutic and relaxing massage at a reasonable price.
