Japan to join forces with U.S., if China attacks Taiwan

Japan and the United States are considering a plan to coordinate the actions of their armed forces in the event China invades Taiwan.

Both of you are focusing on the wrong spot as to where the future major conflict will occur in Asia. I will occur on the Korean Peninsula. I predict that North Korea will send its million man people's army across the 38th parallel to finish what it started in 1950, the first Korean War.

There are two reasons why I believe it will occur within the next five years. The sirst is Kim Jong il's age. He is 65 and to realize the dream set forth by his father, that being the re-unification of the two korea's, he must act before he dies. Secondly, he has no heir and no one is being groomed to take the reins of power if he passes away. In This land of cult of personality the armed forces and people of North Korea have been living an Orwellian nightmare. They have been indocrinated for half a century to view Armageddon in the name of the Beloved Leader as a duty and privilege.

More prognostications on the 2nd Korean War will be forthcoming. Stay tuned.

Japan has benefited much more from democracy and capitalism than she did from her former empire, at least economically.

I'm curious as to how the US is trying to control India, and how defending Taiwan, which overwhelmingly does NOT want to join China right now, is an attempt to control China when it hasn't been part of the PRC, ever.

and and her alliance, especially Japan if the following scenario take places:

1)US defends Taiwan with her military
enforcement and uses her influence to change
one China policy.

Don't know. However, we can only hope we have the technology to defeat a 200 million man army, which China now has. Curse our government for allowing China to obtain our advanced technology as it was to our advantage to keep it from them. Gee, thanks Mr. Clinton. Two idiot presidents in a row. China does not need to attack Taiwan. Taiwan will eventually returned to the fold. Japan ofcourse wants to wage war with China and specially today July the 7th they would like to repeat the Marco Polo incident, the Nanking Massacre. Remember prior to these incidents Japan screwed Korean first.
