Assad says Syria army has upper hand

SYRIAN President Bashar al-Assad says his troops have gained the upper hand against rebels in the 22-month conflict and could win in "two weeks" should Turkey stop its support for insurgents, a Lebanese newspaper reports.

I heard wherever Assad goes in Syria, he is offered free food, coffee, etc because most of the Syrians love him. They say he also hangs out on Russian war ships and plays video games with the Russian troops.

But I just do not understand the logic how they can possibly think that the USA is protecting the world. It saddens me because there is quite a lot of poverty in the USA, the tax payers money would be better spent helping American citizens, free education up to college degree level, an NHS type health care system which does not neglect the poor and needy, sufficient social housing, and an end to people being fed genetically modified food and hormone induced meat and dairy products....

It isn't even Capitalism,its Corporate Fascism,not all Americans have been brainwashed but enough of them have,one would have thought after Vietnam and the way it split the Country they would have said never again,but they just sleep walk from one war to another,the Rumsfelds and Cheneys of this World are the ones making millions out of it,i don't know how many people have to die before enough is enough,since the end of WW2 its been millions who have been victims of this US Reich and counting.

I read a heartbreaking article written by the mother of a 22 year old sent in to Iraq , 3 weeks later he died... He signed up to fight for his country, but what he didn't understand that he wasn't fighting for the good of his country, but lost his life in the process...:(
