The entire Arab cultural theme is dominated by small clannish power groups. And each acting boyish (or tribal) in wanting an army, and youthful adventurous followers, who are willing to die for nothing. But it's the tragic saga of Islam's path to moderninity. And identity (not previously a consideration) becomes a violent issue, when faced with surviveing into moderninity.
