I do agree that you must show you are working to reduce demand prior to judging those responsible for the supply chain. But in this case Evo mistakenly stated that the US is Bolivia's primary market. In reality, Bolivia's own government earlier stated that 80% of cocaine from Bolivia goes to Brazil.

The real problem is not the drugs themselves but the people who use them. Why do they use them I may ask? Pleasure. All humans are animals, pleasure centered egotistical beings who care only for pleasure and money. All cultures use drugs one way or another to feel good.
alcohol
tobacco
cafeine
cocaine
pot

Too bad,as long as modern societies cause more and more stress, the WEAK individuals will continually rely on these substances to either relive stress or escape pain.
As societies continually become more complex and crowded, it will produce more stress in societies, which will increase its rely on drugs to kill the pain.

It's funny how these third world countries blame US for all of their problems. I used to live in a communist country. We blamed US for that, too.

Blame it on the Germans.,

it was a German doctor who isolated the drug cocaine from the leaves., they added acid and made it into a drug experimentally.

Cocaine was legal in America and Europe at the turn of the century. White people loved it.

Now when the brown man profits from it they make it illegal.
blame it on the white man and all indians

The addicts are zombies - they are sick because of their foolish choices. But the ones making money by taking advantage of them ... they are worse!

Hey Khalid..........did all the Germans make cocaine? did All the "white people love it"? Did all the "brown people" make a profit from it? Faced with so many evil white people, I bet you can't wait to move out of Virginia...may I suggest Egypt, Libya, Syria, Lebanon, Mali, Sudan, Congo......the list goes on and on. Move. Move away from the people you hate..........
